We discovered Drury properties
last year since we frequently travel with our golden retreiver. Drury is a pet friendly hotel chain. This Drury Suites in Paducah, Ky was fantastic. I am giving it 4 stars because it is an Inn after all, not a high end hotel. But for an Inn - you get it all here. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food at the happy hour was warm and kid friendly with hot dogs, fresh salad, chips, and pasta. Our son enjoyed the pool. We had a two room suite which is only a few dollars more, but well worth it when traveling with kids and a pet. There were recliners in the rooms, nice TVs, comfortable king size bed, several lamps (well lit), desk and table, and a wet bar. Everything was clean and in acceptable condition. The manager even stopped to say hi during the happy hour. Great service. Would definitely stop here again and you should too!

The fridge had mold in it and it was not plugged in. After we plugged it in it made a loud noise. It is in need of a few upgrades to justify the price, such as new beds (too bouncy and no support), room furniture was chipped and old, and need a fan in the bathroom. The front desk and breakfast staff were very nice. The breakfast was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The location is great, but I would probably stay somewhere else next time and pay for my own breakfast (especially for the price).

DruryHotels, General Manager at Drury Suites Paducah, responded to this review, January 9, 2014
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We regret that you were disappointed in your stay at the Drury Suites Paducah. We want all of our guests to have an outstanding experience while they are here and I wish we would have had the opportunity to address your concerns while you were at the hotel. I am disappointed that you were inconvenienced by our lack of follow through with replacing that refrigerator.

You may be interested to hear that we will be fully renovating the entire hotel soon, which will address any lingering issues with the furniture that you addressed.

Thank you again for your input; we always want to exceed the expectations of our guests and hope we have the opportunity to serve you in the future!

This was a stop over on my trip. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Evening food was hot and ample, room was comfortable. Next morning I left early, the only employee on duty told me to help myself to anything at the food bar, despite not starting for a half hour. Went out of her way to help. Only rough spot was one very heavy male employee working behind the food bar, rude and pushy, did not fit in with the rest of the great employees. Nice stay, will stop again.

We had our family reunion here. The rooms were nice. The bed was oh so comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Unlike most other hotels, they were putting out fresh items right up to 9:00 when breakfast is officially over. Dinner was a pleasant surprise. ..very tasty meatballs and pasta. Cocktails are available with dinner for a nominal fee (.53). I think this has something to be with Kentucky liquor laws. The only negative is they do not have bar. If you want a cocktail after dinner, you have to go off the property.

We were half-way to our destination and needed a pet-friendly place to spend the night. Through a quick search we found the Drury Suites in Paducah and could not have been more pleased. The hotel location and amenities were very good, as was the breakfast buffet. However, by far, the best part of the hotel was their personal service. Even when I needed to walk the dog at 3:30am the young lady setting up for breakfast was pleasant and cheerful. We've never stayed at a Drury facility before, but will actively seek them now!

Room Tip: Pet friendly!

We've stayed at a few Druries before so knew that the free dinner meal and great breakfast added a real bonus for our buck here but we were surprised at the very pleasant room. Thought it was updated from the last one we stayed at. Loved having all the space in a suite at no extra cost, we both watched what we wanted on our own tv and used internet service at the same time. I have trouble walking so they were very good about finding a room downstairs near the front. Very accommodating.
The dinner really is meant to be only snacks so don't expect great quality but there is plenty. Eat lunch out for the gourmet meal, I'd say.
The town has so much to offer so even on a rainy day we found much to do. We will surely return if in the area!

I have stayed at this hotel 2 times and will book it again when I am in the area. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. They have a evening kickback with food and drinks and a breakfast buffet in the morning. Best of all they are pet friendly and do not charge you a bogus cleaning fee as other hotels do.
