“A Disappointment”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2014 via mobile

First visit. Always been happy with Marriott properties. Thought we would try this chain on a trip back from Florida. Assumed each room was a suite. Got very small room next to the elevator. Very cramped. No where to put luggage out.
Amenities were scarce in room.walls were very thin for a new hotel. Could hear everything said next door. Breakfast in the morning was nothing spectacular. All in all a very disappointing visit and will probably try other chains that are actually suite hotels. Probably our last visit here.

Behind The Outback in Paducah is a nice place to stay!

The staff if very helpful and friendly. Both Greg and Karen are so professional and helpful. They offer discounts to nearby places to dine, as well as recommendations on all activities. Our group enjoyed all that they did for us this week.

One bit of advice, the sell out early, so make reservations prior to coming, Paducah can be very busy!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the highway!

Green Features: They have recycle bins in the lobby. Seem to be very environmentally friendly!

My wife and I stayed here and it was a GEM. When we arrived (30 mins after check in time) the staff was very kind about it. We asked to be on the first floor because of health problems and she kindly agreed. The rooms were very nice. Lots of TOWELS in the bathroom and the whole place was shiny and very clean.....wait, I can't say very clean, it was much more that very clean. :)) The breakfast was great and it wasn't cheap food like Honey Buns or donuts. We didn't get a chance to swim in the pool but we did see it and it did look on the small size, BUT, it would work. Great hotel for the price.

Room Tip: Go to triviago.com they have Great prices. ::)

We stayed one night on a trip to Florida. I called another hotel nearby before I called the FFI. I will say that I wish I had called the FFI first. The woman who helped me with a reservation could not have been more pleasant. She was extremely helpful and got us all set up with a room. We had a 2Q room, and it was perfect. The room was clean, it was fairly quiet (ask for a room not facing the highway...none were available when we checked in) and the breakfast was nice. Every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on side of the building that doesn't face the highway

We stayed the past two nights and checked out today. We were in a regular king the first night and the spa room the next. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and always gave us what we needed when requested. Our rooms were also very clean and comfortable. Thank you!

They say they have a pool, but it's more of an oversized bathtub. The dimensions were roughly 10 feet by 21 feet. A little narrower at one end that the other, but about 210 square feet give or take 10. This is not an exaggeration. Also the capacity posted on the wall says 5. No joke. We got checked in to a room, and realized the tv didn't work, then had to be move after starting to unpack. This was information they already knew, but didn't take it off the available list. No compensation for our trouble. Breakfast was decent and the room was fine once we got settled in. Everything was clean, but I could've stayed somewhere cheaper and gotten a better experience.

Tom,

I am sorry that the television was not operating upon your check in to the hotel, I am glad the clerk on duty was able to transfer you to aroom with no television issues. The pool at our hotel is the standard size pool that is built at most of the newer Fairfiled Inn & Suites across America; the amount of people allowed in the pool is set by the State of Kentucky by the square footage. I do appreciate your comments and will be sure to discuss both matters with the correct departments.

I don't think you could get a hotel closer to the interstate unless you put in the median. Naturally this hotel HVAC system doesn't have the capacity to turn just the fan on so I am on my way to the store to buy one to try and drown out the 18 wheelers. This does it for me and Fairfield. The walls are thin and you can hear every foot step above. The hotel didn't bother to put me on the top floor even though I requested it. I am Platinum Elite with Marriott.

Daniel,

I am so sorry the hotel did not a vacancy to place you on the 4th floor, 3rd floor was the highest we were able to locate you with the complimentary upgrade to a suite.

I wish there was something we could have done to help you sleep better, we do offer fans and earplugs for guest use.

I thank you for your comments and hope you do not allow this experience with traffic noise to effect your opinion of a national chain.
