We were excited to revisit this pub. A couple of years ago we ate here and remembered if fondly. But, this visit was the exact opposite of the previous visit. We had the worse experience at this pub. We waited at least 5 minutes at the door before anyone noticed to seat us. We waited 10 minutes for a server to notice us and take our drink orders. (Apparently they seated us in his area even though he was on his way out the door.) The staff forgot to bring our appetizer until right before the meal arrived. The fish (which was highly recommended by our waiter) was horrible...tough, hard batter and cold. Our waiter was not to blame for any of this. He was the only thing we liked about this pub. Fond memories should stay in the past. We won't go back.

stopped by for just a drink... played by their rules... for patio seating and went to the front first... but still... service poor... stayed for one drink then left...the management still has plenty of work to do... this on a Saturday night after the Tap N Run...

I recently visited this Pub again with a business colleague for dinner and a drink. The atmosphere is very Irish with a good beer selection. The outdoor seating area is large with a good view of the river. People watching is easy as the rivier walk goes right by the outside eating area. The menu is not huge but is quite sufficient for a moderate dinner. The Irish pork and salmon dinners were delicious and both had ample amounts of food for less than $17. The servers were pleasant and helpful. Good Happy Hour specials ($2 beers and $3 drinks). So if your walking around Newport On The Levee and are looking for a good place to eat and grab a beer, try Claddaghs Pub.

If you're Scotchish or want to be there's no better place in the Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky area for the best Scotchish fare . Fish and Chips are to die for . The beer -forget about it you'll find no better . How Neat !

Went to Newport with friends and family and everyone enjoyed the dining at Claddagh. The beer was good, as was the food and service. Would have been a 5 star rating had it not been for a marginal band playing way too loud for the dining room (probably would have been fine had they been outside on the patio).
