we have eaten here at least 15 times over the yrs. never once was the service not great and the food is awesome. highly recommend reservations on a weekend as they are usually very busy. save yourself some trouble and use valet parking as well!
from the wedge salad to the Spinach/crab dip to any number of entree's I have had. Chilean sea bass frequently with a side of scallops to the Friday night special (filet and lobster I add a 2nd tail) and the crazy big carrot cake (definitely a shared dessert) with a cappuccino I have yet to have anything wrong eating here. while not quite the ambience of Chart House I think the food is every bit as good and the service very close if not the same.

A very busy restaurant. Fortunately, we had reservations. Ensure you have reservations and expect to wait for your table during peak weekend dining hours.

Servers were great. Food was sub par for a group of nine. Over cooked dry or half raw fish. Why don't they know anything inbetween? Sorry, the cold vegetable bed and red potato slop mess were not appealing on the white rectangular plates that almost everyone received. Hot std chain meals have arches and paper bags

I'm a rainbow trout aficionado so I always order it when I see it on a menu. The broiled trout at Mitchell's was the best I have ever had. There were six in our group and everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. Of particular note was our server Samantha. She had in depth knowledge of the various menu items and her recommendations were spot on. If you are in the market for a first class dining experience at a reasonable price, Mitchell's Fish Market on the Levee can't be beat.
