We purchased four tickets for Breakfast with Scuba Santa. We arrived at 08:25, and ate a buffet style breakfast until 09:15 when Scuba Santa appeared in the shark tank. He put on a 30-45 minute show, and at the end, spoke with each child that wanted to speak with him. Everyone there appeared to have enjoyed it. I know that the four of us did. I think my favorite part was getting to tour the entire aquarium before it opened to the public. There were only about 25 quests for the Scuba Santa show. Everyone just broke off from breakfast, and walked around at their own pace. I loved being able to walk slow, and take as many pictures as I wanted, without feeling hurried by others. We will do this again next year.

If you only visit one aquarium this year, this is the one for you! Hands on activities, such as petting nurse sharks and rays, high quality displays, photo ops, such as posing inside a huge, open shark jaws, and a children's play place in the middle make this fun for the whole family! We liked this better than the aquarium in Virginia Beach. You will enjoy this one. FIVE STARS! Do NOT miss it!

I have recently been to both Newport aquarium and the Ripley's aquarium in Gatlinburg Tennessee. The Newport blows Ripley's out of the water. Newport has so many great exhibits and is very family friendly. They ease of getting in and out of Newport is great also.

The Newport Aquarium is a great place to visit! The Aquarium is priced so that it doesn't break the bank if you want to take the whole family. Parking is close by in the garage and there are quite a few restaurants near there to grab a bite after you visit the Aquarium.

We recently visited the Newport Aquarium as part of our family mini-vacation. I was surprised by the price it cost when compared to how long it takes to visit all the areas in the aquarium ($76 for a family of four - took us three hours and I was stretching it out). The facility is very nice and there are many interesting animals on display. There were several empty tanks when we visited (a least 6 large ones), making us feel as though we were missing out. All of that being said, the walk through tunnels and the "glass floors" we're really neat, giving you the feeling of really being up close and personal with the animals. The dive show where we got to talk to the divers inside the tank was very educational and entertaining. The kids enjoyed the Frog Bog area, even though they are just a little older than the 6 year old crowd it was deigned for (the Frogger game helped a lot). I'm really glad we went, but I think it will be a "one trip wonder" for our family.
