I've been to several aquariums including Underwater World in the Mall of America, and the Georgia Aquarium. The Newport Aquarium is pretty cool. I really like how they have it split up into different river and lake areas from around the world that each feature the marine life from their respective locations. There are a few hands on opportunities that kids really seem to enjoy also.
My only two real gripes are the price, which is $23 per adult, (you can save $2 by purchasing tickets at Kroger) and that it was very very busy which made it hard to get a chance to see a lot of things.
All in all it is fun, and the surrounding area has a lot of cool shops and restaurants.
