Stayed here for a couple of nights for a wedding in the local area. Very warm and welcoming. Room was very nice and to a high standard. Nice touches on arrival, afternoon tea and wine in the room. The owners were very friendly and chatty, without being intrusive. Breakfast was superb and the pub next door was a good craic. Thanks for the lock-in!

Would very much recommend this B&B.

Oh and thanks for returning my charger.

We were welcomed with a pot of tea by Audrey who was friendly and chatty. We were shown to the Serenade Room which was absolutely spotless and had a beautiful king size bed and en-suite bathroom which had a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower cubicle. In a cupboard there was a silent fridge with a complimentary bottle of wine. The room also had tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary fudge and shortbread. We had a fabulous breakfast including superb quality sausages & bacon, a wide selection of cereals, large croissants, toast and homemade jam, juice and tea/coffee. We returned in the afternoon for our complimentary afternoon tea. We were only expecting a cup of tea with a scone. What we were served was amazing:- 3 types of sandwiches, 2 cream scones and a slice of homemade carrot cake and walnut/coffee cake each with a lovely pot of tea, all served on bone china crockery. In the evenings we ate in the pub next door which specialised in local Brancaster Mussells. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced.

The whole weekend experience was absolutely fabulous. We couldn’t have been looked after better by Audrey. She is very passionate about her B&B which she opened in Nov 2012 and we cannot recommend this B&B highly enough and will certainly be returning.

I have stayed in many places over the years but none have been as welcoming as Melody House, it is everything one could wish for in a guesthouse, warm, comfortable, luxurious rooms, a fantastic breakfast, a log fire burning in the lounge and a delicious afternoon tea.

The owner, Audrey and her son, Chris are great hosts, happy to chat and tell you about the history of the property and the village (of which there is plenty) and ensure that you want for nothing while you are there.

Fantastic really, that's all I can say, I will definitely be returning (hopefully for a holiday next time) and I urge anyone looking for a place to stay in Norfolk to visit.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great !

Previously the village shop, Melody House Bed and Breakfast is based in a building dating back to c. the mid-1400's. It has recently been renovated and the decor / furnishings are a mix of vintage meets new.

As we were the only guests to stay over the New Year period, Audrey, the owner (lovely, chatty and with lots of character), upgraded us and we ended up staying in their best room. This was a reasonable size and included all amenities such as tea / coffee facilities, as well as complimentary fudge (delicious!), biscuits and wine. As for the bathroom, there was a good shower and better still, a jacuzzi bath.

There were three outstanding features - the cleanliness of the entire establishment and the complimentary afternoon tea on our arrival date and the breakfast.

Strongly recommend this to anybody visiting Norfolk.
