“A Toast to Toast!”
Reviewed August 1, 2010

I have two words for you---"drowned eggs"! Absolutely the best breakfast I have ever had. This restaurant is a "must try" if you appreciate creative breakfast and lunch dishes and chefs who use local ingredients. This was our second visit but won't be our last.

“Toast - Unique, Local, Eclectic and a True Taste of Louisville...”
Reviewed July 23, 2010

Do not miss this outstanding breakfast and lunch spot sandwiched in the middle of Louisville's Market Street Antique District. It is a hard choice if you are in between breakfast and lunch. But for breakfast it is hard to pass up the French Toast and the potato casserole side dish. My favorite for lunch is the steak salad where Toast offers up a delicious quality chopped filet, cooked to order, on top of the salad. The five cheese grilled sandwich and tomato soup is to die for though if you are in for a twist on comfort food. I am always too full for dessert so cannot help you there but they look wonderful!

“A true local's breakfast place”
Reviewed March 31, 2010

The food at Toast was great--a lot of creative breakfast options. Service was great. But the beauty of Toast is that this is truly a local's place. I highly recommend coming early or just before 10am to beat the long wait.

“A definite must go breakfast spot when in...”
Reviewed March 18, 2010

A definite must go breakfast spot when in Louisvile.

We had the famous egg sandwich. This is a combo salad and regular egg sandwich. Very interesting mix of flavors.

We also shared the Lemon Souffle and Breas Pudding pancakes. The combined score - a ten.

All this food cost $27. Great in my opinion.

George the creator and owner payed us a unexpected visit and was a gracious host.

Miss this Toast and you will regret it!

“Yummy, but not amazing”
Reviewed March 6, 2010

It's just a big crowded room...like eating in the middle school cafeteria. The service wasn't very good, but then again we were there on a Saturday at 1pm. I found the waiter to be pushy...trying to get us to order drinks and dessert....with breakfast after the gym?! not so much. The portions were a perfect size for me (5 foot tall 20 something female), but my husband was still starving afterward so the value wasn't good. All told the food was really good, but no vegan options and poopy service.
