I took a group to Churchill Downs and we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. My group loved the accommodations and the breakfast. Katie and Courtney took great care of us and even helped at the last minute with suggestions for restaurants, etc. The rooms were ready when we arrived and all of the keys were in alphabetical order. That may not sound like a big deal, but when you have 40 people needing a key and you have been on the road all day...it helps. Staff was the best! Rooms were perfect, wish we could have stayed longer, but happy to know where I will be staying in Louisville from now on.

Thank you for giving the SpringHill Suites Louisville Downtown such a wonderful shout out on Trip Advisor. We absolutely loved having your group with us. I am pleased our team was able to anticipate the needs of your group and helped make your visit memorable. Many visitors to Churchill Downs prefer staying downtown, as it is still a very convenient drive to the track, but then you have Louisville's best dining and nightlife within walking distance from your hotel. We are anxious to welcome you back when you return to The River City.

Stayed for the Dalai Lama visit for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful, very good. The rooms are ok, ac is a little loud, the tv selection is not as expected; even though is good to have the wc separate it will be good to have a darker door. For the prices the breakfast is really poor. I am used to european and asian breakfast service so plastic dishes and cups seem cheap.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near elevators.

Stayed here last year and enjoyed it so we returned again this year. Clean, comfortable bed and very specious room. Very modern updated facility. Breakfast was good -- fresh you-make waffles, eggs, bacons, pastries, cereal, yogurt, juice, fruit and of course coffee.

We truly appreciate your taking the time to share your experience at the SpringHill Suites Louisville Downtown. We always love welcoming back our repeat guests. Next time you return you will be able to enjoy our newly upgraded complimentary breakfast buffet. We have added many healthy and hearty items. Louisville always has a new restaurant joining our famous dining scene or a new play at one of our local theatres, so there are many reasons to come back to The River City.

Stayed here for Kentucky Derby weekend......rooms clean, nice interiors and comfortable. Friendly staff. Vewry nice breakft included with room ( fresh waffles, eggs, bacon, good choice of pastries, etc). Small but well appointed execrise room and pool. My only complaint has to do withglass doors on bathroom and showers. It is impossible to put on lights in the bath without flooding whole room with light....makes it hard to sleep well if more than one person in room.

Pricey for Derby week....dont know if its a bargain or not.

Easy walk to downtown attractions.......

Louisville has a lot of nice hotels to choose from, but if you are traveling for business this is a great hotel. I am staying there with other consultants regularly and it is a newer and clean hotel with space to work. It also consistently provides the most competitive rate (AAA) than any of the other hotels in the area. If you are on business and budget matters, I would recommend staying here.
