They surprised us with a free amuse bouche to start with, which was great. I cut my beef with a butter knife, because I could.

Great place, atmosphere, service super bar and wine list. Unfortunately the amuse bouche was the best part of the meal. Location smoked ham wrapped in melon and goat cheese with a double mustard sauce...awesome. The rest of the meal fell flat. Mixed green salad was pedestrian and the pork belly appetizer was over done and dry. Salmon entrée was OK, quinoa as a side was a bit off and the English peas were underdone. Duck was flavorful but the fat was not rendered down enough and the side celery root gratin was tough and beech mushrooms had not flavor or texture..
I must say I wish this place was farther away then a few streets away. This is a frequent spot for the hubby and myself. With as teller wine list and a amazing patio we can not stay away! The food is a taste of Kentucky for sure. The Seabass is one of the best dishes I've had it is borderline addicting! Thank god for dean's nachos the perfect bite every time. This place is a staple for finer dining in Louisville!
My wife and I were accompanied by a dear friend for an exquisite lunch at Corbett's on April 3. We were impressed with the stylish, yet comfortable decor. Table settings are high quality, even during the lunch hour, and no detail is overlooked. White linens and silver plate flatware, along with fine crystal stemware, make for an elegant dining experience.
Our server was well versed in the subtleties of the menu offerings and she never missed a beat in anything. We knew we were in good hands with her taking care of us. When we ordered wines by the glass, she even allowed us to taste a small portion before filling the glass, just to be sure we were satisfied with out choice. When one of the ladies tried the Chardonnay and found it too dry for her taste, she was encouraged to select something else, with which she was pleased.
Out meals were all excellent. Two of us had salmon on a bed of cauliflower and leek gratin. This was a wonderful and well-prepared seiection. The third member of our group had a bison burger and she was very pleased with that choice.
The meal concluded with two of us choosing pear sorbet and the other person had flourless chocolate cake. It was a fine finish to our meal.
You can't go wrong with Corbett's for a fine dining destination. Everything is superb.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food and wine were fabulous. Our server was terrific and accommodated several special requests of ours. Look forward to dining here again.
