Established in the early 1930s, this well-regarded restaurant near Cherokee Park is known for first-class cuisine. A classic shrimp and grits appetizer is updated with shiitakes and tomatoes, and Medjool dates are wrapped in bacon, stuffed with chorizo and goat cheese, and dressed with tomato sauce. Main-course fare includes an herb-crusted pork chop, beef tournedos, and honey-roasted crimson snapper. Don't leave without trying one of the heavenly desserts made by the outstanding pastry chef.

Always have a good time at Jack Fry's, this visit was no different, a little pricey, but worth a trip.

Jack Fry's has history. It was a greasy spoon - used to stop in for a burger - now it is a white table cloth fine dining experience. Do not be afraid to wear jeans if you must. It is upscale casual. The service is top notch, the food is succulent. Parking is difficult since it is in a trendy busy neighborhood so be prepared.
Everything on the menu is delicious.
For an evening out it is perfect - for a special occasion it is perfect- for out of town guests it is perfect. Jack Fry's = Perfect. The ambiance is awesome with the piano music and the low lighting. If she is there, meet Stephanie Meeks, Proprietor, she is super nice and has Jack Fry's history in her story. I don't live in Louisville anymore but I go to Jack Fry's every time I am back at home. Louisville has tons of great restaurants - this one is top notch and Louisville is lucky to have such a magnificent restaurant. The bar is small - good for sipping on a bourbon but not actually a 'bar scene."

One night in Louisville offered a number of chain restaurants or venture beyond the central downtown hotel choices only 3 miles for a FAB evening. I had the Scallops and Pork Belly my wife the Salmon, split a Grilled Romaine salad and chocolate cake for dessert. And it was only
$ 80.00!?! Also had a $80 bottle of wine and in and out in an hour. There's a charming back story to this place too. Great service, super environment in the Highlands--don't miss it!

I could cut my steak with a fork. If I hadn't got robbed on my hotel rate I would of ate there every night.

My waiter was very well spoken and informative. Diverse menu. Great atmosphere. Five star joint if you ask me.
