Great B & B and we are not a B & B couple! Lovely room with very nice bath. Private, comfy beds, lovely hosts, elegant breakfasts and carafes of red wine in your room and public areas - available any time! Electric fireplace in our room added to the ambiance. We loved the extra touches that were so thoughtful and added to the warm hospitality. We were extended family staying here for a wedding in town and it was just perfect for us all - even as strangers.

The rooms are amazingly quiet and we never heard anyone upstairs or next door to us. UPS sometimes flies overhead late at night - but that cannot be avoided anywhere in downtown Louisville. We brought ear plugs but did not need them. The rooms have small folding ironing boards and irons, but if you need a full sized board - ask the host. We had a hair dryer, shampoo and soap in our suite

The 2nd floor has a guest kitchen with coffee, tea and a refrig for personal use. We used this area every night after dinner to have a cup of tea around the kitchen table with new family or a sip of wine to ease the jet lag. We purchased our own white wine, beer and snacks and used the refrigerator. We used the lovely deck and garden area in the backyard to relax and read during our down time.

This is located within walking distance to several very nice restaurants and we felt safe in walking a few blocks and back for a fine dinner.

Finally, our hosts - Herb and then Sharon, provided introductions to other guests when appropriate, directions, dining and activity recommendations and a very warm reception. Be sure to be kind and let them know when you would like breakfast so they can plan ahead - especially if it is a full house. We loved Herb joining us for a glass of wine in the evening to tell us about the house and history.

We'll be back! A great alternative to the hotels in Louisville - especially if you enjoy walking or jogging around the park and enjoy historical homes.

Room Tip: No elevator so be sure to consider that aspect. The host helped get our bags to the 2nd floor which...

The Dupont Mansion was one of the best B&B's we have stayed at. A beautifully restored mansion that was super clean along with a very comfortable bed and great breakfasts. The rooms were large and inviting with nice amenities. Genny the innkeeper was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again.

We booked a room at the Inn at the Park (owned by same company) but were asked to switch to Dupont to accommodate other guests. We were offered an upgrade, and were very, very pleased with the change. The Carnegie room was lovely, as was the bath and breakfast. The Central Park area was a tranquil escape from NCAA mobs downtown, but easily accessible to many attractions. Breakfast was lovely without being overly heavy. My one complaint is beyond the inn's control - if you're a light sleeper, prepare to contend with jet air traffic overhead well into the early hours of the am!

We loved our stay in the Dupont Mansion. Genny took great care of us, feeding us wonderful breakfasts and working with us on a delayed arrival due to traffic. The B&B is beautiful, balancing the charms of an old house with modern luxuries in a way few other B&Bs manage. I loved that the rooms were bright and cheery with wonderful antique furnishings. We stayed in the Carnegie room and enjoyed fabulous facilities. Genny also provided great advice on destinations for last minute Christmas shopping. All made for a wonderful anniversary celebration.

I have stayed at B&B's all over the country for both personal and business and have found the Dupont Mansion B&B at the "top" of the list for hospitality, comfort and beauty of the home.
One could not ask for more friendly and welcoming host as the owners Gayle & Herb Warren and their Innkeeper, Genny. from the moment you call or email for a reservation to the the time you enter the door for your stay and then when you leave it is a sincere "old friend" relationship that "warms" your heart and makes one feel so "welcome" to their home.
Genny's "fantastic" breakfast are to "die" for and the period furnishings w/all the amenities that one needs are available or are at your request.
We would "highly" recommend this B&B to all our friends, family and business contacts-you can not go wrong staying here! Toni Hodson-Indiana

Room Tip: Have not found a room we did not enjoy-all are excellent!

This was our first time staying at the Dupont Mansion, definitely wont be the last. Genny is the perfect hostess, and you want for nothing while you are there. All the little touches from the decorating, to the candy, the totally stocked guest kitchen, to the decanters of wine, all for the tasting, We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts, none compare to the Dupont Mansion. We stayed in the Alcott suite, very nicely appointed, very comfortable. No more hotels for us when we visit Louisville, it will be the Dupont Mansion next time!! Dave & Angela M.

Room Tip: Every room is great....one is no better than the other.
