“They took good care of a large group”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

I was in there this weekend as a part of a large group of folks. It was ridiculously hot outside and inside, but with the 100+ degree heat, I can't blame the bar for that. There's a point when A/C just isn't going to cut it.

The wait staff was friendly and prompt, especially with a large group.

The food was tasty. I had some Hawaiian pizza and breadsticks. The breadsticks were large and made thereThe bonus was that you could get a cup of bean soup for a quarter. I am not huge on bean soup but for 25 cents, it seemed worth it. Actually, it was a tasty bowl.

I did not partake in the beer fest there because of the heat, but the folks I was with did and there is a wiiiiiiide variety of brews available.

“Great beers, good pub fare too”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Great beer selection on draft and especially bottles. Stick to pub fare, specifically the burgers and beer pretzels. Prices are reasonable. 100 beer club for those interested. Younger crowd and music on weekends. Sat/Sun laid back crowd daytime for football season. Classic irish bar decor and ambiance.

“Character and atmosphere in the heart of the historic Bardstown road”
Reviewed May 27, 2012 via mobile

A true Irish pub, Flanagans ale house is a must for those die hards who are looking for good beer, great atmosphere, and excellent bar vittles to pleasure almost any drunken palate from here to Timbuktu. Live music and a DJ supply entertainment almost every weekend and with both indoor and outdoor bars to service patrons, Flanagan's lays claim to a fine mix of Irish pub and dance club. Bring a lot of friends down on the weekend to mingle with the locals and enjoy a night out on the town. Party on and drink up folks!

“good pub fare, college hang out on weekend nights”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Flanagan's is a great place for pub food and a pint or two, but it's taken over by the college crowd on weekend nights. This could be a good or bad thing depending on your stage in life.
