“Good selection of foods, not as good customer service”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

The employees at the deli have been grouchy every single time I've been here. The food is good though and they have a good selection of homemade and imported Italian foods that are sometimes hard to find in other grocery stores. It works well for finding ingredients for the recipes I get on food network.

“I'm Italian and this Place has great sandwiches & an authentic store. It's been around for 30 years”
Reviewed March 19, 2012

The store is friendly and the food is good. Italian deli sandwiches, a selection of pastas and a small area inside to eat or outside close to the trendy Highlands area on Shelbyville Rd. There are plenty of cheeses and salamis to choose from for a picnic or gift baskets. But there's so much more. Not only Italian groceries but a lil of other mediterranean countries and some mexican. There are also pizzas premade in the fridge section and packaged air tight, and pizza dough to go. It reminds me of Jimmy's deli in Dallas. I would definitely return and highly recommend.

“Don't Plan a PICNIC without them!”
Reviewed June 29, 2011

This is my dream shop and deli! Homemade pastas (incredible selection of homemade, linguini, ravioli, tortellini, lasagna), marinated salads, dips and spreads and everything my pantry needs to go from ho-hum to "Hey there!". Top notch international brands of spices, sauces, tomatoes, olives, you name it. And their deli counter is the best in Louisville. Many times I've prepared for a family get-together, a party, or a picnic by stopping at Lotsa Pasta (and i'm done!). Fresh mozzarella, olives, a fresh rustic round loaf of bread, a few sanwiches, some marinated salads, and you're ready to roll! Their homemade spreads (black bean and cheddar, Benedictine are just two of our favorites)!

Oh, and stock up on your olive oils, dried mushrooms, all that you need. ONE LAST THING: their homemade and frozen pizza dough balls are pefect! I buy a cooler full at a time and keep the freezer stocked. Then, when I want to make a homemade pizza for the family, I pull out a couple of them and leave them in the fridge or on the counter for the day. They're thawed and ready in time for dinner. Fresh basil, a bit of tomato and some fresh mozzarella. What else could you need????
