Visited the Middletown location on Shelbyville Road. Received an extremely warm welcome upon entering. The tables have gingham table cloths with wooden chairs and tables - very BBQ spirited. The waiter was very helpful and friendly. He even made a delicious hybrid mix of unsweet tea and sweet tea for me. The menu is pretty extensive for a BBQ restaurant. There are many gluten free options as well. The sauces are very good, especially the hot BBQ sauce. The fried corn on the cob is uniquely good. Ribs, brisket, and sweet potato fries deserve an honorable mention. Wish their cole slaw was gluten free, as it shouldn't be difficult to create a gluten free version. The manager came to our table to welcome us as well. As it was our first time there, we received a free dessert and one bottle of BBQ sauce. Very appreciated! The caramel apple sundae was good, thank you!

Stumbled upon Mark's Feed Store one rainy night. We ordered pork sandwich platters which were very good. Sides of potato salad, sweet potato fries, baked beans were awesomely good. Their sauces are fantastic. Moderate prices. Sweet tea was a little too sweet for me and I'm from way south of here. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this place. Belly rubs mandatory afterward.

We did not know our way around Louisville at all but had heard that Bardstown was an interesting neighborhood. We enjoyed walking around and stumbled upon Mark's Feed. From the minute we walked in we knew we had found something special. The decor and ambiance (brick, hardwood, antique signs) were so charming. We ate in the small upstairs dining room. Our food was really, really good, and the service was even better. Our waiter was so friendly and fun to talk to that he ended up being one of the highlights of our Louisville trip. We talked about Louisville basketball and he taught us how to correctly pronounce Louisville (Luvul!). He even sent us home with a complimentary bottle of BBQ sauce which is good business because back home in California every time we open this bottle of sauce for guests we rave about this restaurant. We loved, loved, loved this restaurant and hope to return some day.

GREAT bbq place! They let us try their ribs (for free), but our waitress assured us that the bbq burger was not to be missed-she was correct! (The service was phenomenal by the way...) Food came out quick, hot and delicious. Sauces are awesome and the sides are great as well. Clean place (including bathrooms), and not too much annoying contemporary country music (why don't restaurants play old school county?!) One last item: great in house root beer! Go in and get your fingers sticky, you won't regret it!
