Not enough staff, looked like it was just the husband and wife. They were overwhelmed and could not even stop by the table. We were waiting for over 45 minutes and no service. I hope they can get it together, because I am sure the food is great.

The food was amazing, and the prices very reasonable. And the location, very near the convention center, was really convenient. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant five stars was that it was seriously understaffed the night we were there, so service was slow. They were quite apologetic, so I suspect that it was an isolated problem, not a chronic one, but still, it WAS slow that night, and I can only report on what I experienced on one visit.

The injera was just right, and the spicing of the dishes that came with the vegetarian platter was perfect. Prices were much lower than I expected for such great food. My friends had chicken and said it was excellent, but I wish they had been more adventurous and tried something with injera, as that was well beyond excellent!

I don't expect to get to Louisville again anytime soon, but if I do, this is the first restaurant I will look for!

Visiting Louisville and found this little place near the Convention Center on 4th Street for lunch. Great Ethiopian food. If you've never tried it, do so. I got the mixed vegetarian. Their injera (flat bread that comes with Ethiopian food) was wonderful and each dish tasty. The lentil dish had just the right amount of spice. Very flavorful food. Friends had the chicken and said it was fabulous. The owner was wonderful - very friendly. It is worth supporting local owned restaurants like this - we were so happy to have found it. It was the best food we had while in Louisville hands down. They are also open in evenings for dinner and happy hour.
