“Cool spot!”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

You wouldn't just happen along and say this is the place to go. It has an old looking sign, is in an old firehouse, and doesn't look like much from the street. At night, when we were there, the music was loud and not to our taste. But the back patio was delightful, the food and drink great. We just had snacks, but they were good and not your usual bar food. Though we are older than the target age group, our waitress, Amanda, couldn't have been nicer or more professional. We had a great time!

“Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed June 13, 2014 via mobile

The Atmosphere is really nice. The building is in a old Firehouse. It has outdoor seating in the front and back. Tip: we would highly recommend the back patio area! It is loud. Which initially through our kids off, but once they got used to it it was smooth sailing.

Our food was good! The fries appetizer basket we got with. Ultisols dipping sauces was awesome! We were taken back that they don't serve sweet tea.

“Pretty interesting menu”
Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here for an early lunch...they had brunch on the menu as well. It was a small menu but had along of options across the board. There was something for everyone. Most of us had a burger..I had a salad and my boyfriend had the steak and eggs. He said it was pretty good and the steak was really tender. I thought it was a fun little neighborhood place. Would be a great evening date place as well with a pretty big patio.

“Atmosphere, Service & Excellent Food”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

So where do the hipsters hang out in Louisville? This is place is surely on their short list. We were visiting for a long weekend and happened upon this place on the edge of what I think the locals call NuLu; its great a great street presence which includes a clever patio area that has a high & clear semi-roof, more about that in a minute.

Doe is have the widest menu? No, however the waffles and chicken were really a great twist for those of us from more northern locales. Simple yet tasty comfort food. We ate out on the patio and we were thankful for the clear roof that is high overhead. The rain came down and we never felt a drop while still enjoying that outdoor setting. The service was outstanding, our waitress was the best we had in Louisville and one of the better ones in recent memory. If our blonde waitress reads this, she might remember us since she helped a fellow lady out with a card she passed a message on to.

Anyway, the whole experience was great, from cocktails to dinner to an unusual take on pecan pie, more like a cookie actually. The crowd was eclectic, from couples like us to groups of Louisville hipsters to families and more. We had a great time and we're already planning our next dinner there when we come back to NuLu.

“Great food, fun atmosphere”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a fun, casual restaurant with friendly, helpful and attentive service and exceptional food. I have been there previously for brunch (also excellent). Last weekend, I had dinner there with 3 others. We shared/sampled everything and nothing disappointed in the least. We especially enjoyed the delicious chicken and waffle dinner and the rack of ribs. The steak was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The outdoor patio is inviting, well lit and seating is comfortable. I would return to this restaurant again and again.
