Staff was great. We were on a family trip to Six Flags and stayed here. Was unsure of the area at first but turned out to be great. Staff offered us a shuttle to Six Flags at 6:30 even though the park closed at 8. Room was very clean. Breakfast was great. It was nice also being right next to Arby's. My only issue was the WiFi was a litttle slow at times. Thank you for your service and keep up the great service.

My wife and I stayed at the CI&S the weekend of July 13 to take in The Police concert at Churchill Downs. The location was excellent; within walking distance to the track. You could also walk to the Papa John's University of Louisville Cardinals football stadium, the Fair and Expo center, and Six Flags.
The accomodations are average to good. About what you'd expect from a Country Inn & Suites. Nice, clean room; adequate breakfast; resonable rates. We had one problem when we got to our room - the toilet seat and lid fell off the toilet. We contacted the front desk and the got us into a different room immediately.
So, in short, this hotel is about value for your location.

Expedia screwed up my reservation...but we loved the Country Inn & Suites anyway. Everyone is very helpful. The location is fabulous - easy access to all major freeways, close to Churchill Downs. Rooms are large, very comfortable-even with 2 kids and very quiet. Rates was great, too.
Will definitely return to this one again!

I stayed in this CIS for seven nights during the week of July 4, 2004.

The hotel is five minutes from the Louisville Airport, three minutes from a large Post Office, and across from the convention complex. An Arby's is adjacent, with a Burger King just beyond. Access to/from the various Louisville interstates is pretty good. There is plenty of parking for guests.

Some temporary confusion during check-in with my web reservation was quickly cleared up. My attractive room was quiet (no indoor/outdoor noise), with all plumbing/appliances in perfect order and a microwave/fridge. Unlike other hotels/motels of all levels, none of the room-doors squeaked.

This CIS has a business center with a public computer, a decent and seemingly well-stocked Continental-breakfast buffet, and an exercise room and nice-looking pool.

The only negative (common to MANY hotels) is that the air-conditioning unit causes the window curtains to billow.

The housekeeping was thorough and unobtrusive. The staffers were all pleasant and helpful.

I highly recommend this CIS and would stay here again without question.

The rooms were extremely clean and the pool was nice. The rooms were hard to get really cool, but if around 72 is acceptable to you then it will be just fine. We just like it about 4 degrees cooler and were unable to get it that cool. The breakfast was alright, but eventhough we go to the breakfast about an hour and a half prior to breakfast closing things were running out and there was not any staff looking to see if things were running out. A good experience, not the best, but a very nice stay.
