“Better than most convention center experiences.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

This would have been a 4 review had the food lines been a little shorter. Here are the positives: Very clean, helpful workers, shuttle, variety of vendors and places to eat. We were warned the food was pricey so we were prepared. The portions were larger than expected, so if you share with someone your money will go farther. I had the catfish platter for $ 10 and I split it with my husband. THe ice cream was a hit. $4 for a waffle cone or cup was not bad, and it was good ice cream. I thought the strawberry was the best. We were here for 2 days for a volleyball tournament. The cost for admission was $5 per person per day. What I liked about this venue was that there was a variety of food choices and places to sit in the main foyer and by the courts. they allowed food in the venue, but not outside food or coolers. The negatives were the cost for parking and lack of outside attractions and food places. They did provide a shuttle. I recommend staying close to the convention center and carpooling to the venue. We did this and saved money. It was about an 18minute walk to the hotel. There were some a little closer.
THis is a huge place so bring your walking shoes!

“Unable to accommodate large crowds -- terrible, terrible, terrible!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

This was the site of a volleyball tournament in which my granddaughter played. Parking lot personnel could not handle the volume of traffic --- they definitely need additional staffing for events such as this one! Food service was bad, bad, bad -- at best. Nothing healthy here, even though it was an event for athletes. Not enough vendors to handle the crowd -- lines were long and anywhere from a half hour to 45 minutes waiting time just for a soda or pretzel -- again, not enough staffing!! They could probably learn some lessons about working with large crowds from International Exposition Center in Cleveland, Ohio!!

“Massive Venue”

I attend many events here during the year, including gun, car and horse shows as well as the Kentucky State fair. Plenty of parking and good traffic control. Can they handle crowds!

“Alot under one roof!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

This place was huge! You may need a GPS for just the inside! The place is always clean, has very good lighting, plenty of food items to choose from, (although the prices could be just a little lower) and never far from a bathroom, no matter where you may be in the building. I would recommend going to what ever event that they may have!

“enjoyed the show but”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

the food vendors will leave a bad taste in your mouth. The Kentucky fish vendors were not up to par this year. In the past I wouldn't miss a rainbow trout but this year one was all I could stand. Rude people serving, very dissapointed. (Farm Show)
