“stay away, esp. during thunder over louisville”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014 via mobile

even tho local news and lmpd are downplaying any foreseen problems, the fact remains, gangs of teens have been attacking people in the downtown area, violent crimes happen numerous times a day in the waterfront area. thunder used to be a good time for families, now not only has the air show gotten so boring most people dont show up til right before the fireworks which to be fair is spectacular. they have the same old tired air acts year after year, this year the blue angels are SUPPOSED to be here along with the f22 but, every year they advertise military aircraft, b-1, b-2 bombers, stealth fighter etc. only to be cancelled at the "last minute", right. so they fill the time with boring prop planes, lima lima is one act of fliers, all the do is fly up n down the river in formation with a smoke trail, same exact act theyve had for years, boring, no aerobatics nothing. oh, they do have a ups plane that you see hundreds of a week if you live in this area fly over. the coast guard has a swimmer step off the boat, never gets more than a couple feet away from boat and if your on shore you cant see it anyway , its supposed to be a dramatic rescue reinactment, cant tell if anyones evenin the water until you watch the replay on tv. that combined with all the drunks starting fights, it is basically a drunkfest, no alcohol is supposed to be there but the local law enforcement turns a blind eye, alobg with the daily shootings in town, gangs up to 30 teens attacking people, the heroin and meth dealers roaming the park, boring air show, up to 4 hours of traffic just to get out of downtown, drunks driving out of the area, or wait in bad neighborhoods for tarc buses to take u to cardinal stadium so you can wait for hours for the police to get there to get the report on your vandilized car. The Zambellis without question put on a tremendous fireworks show, so if you go, go to the park in clarksville ind. across the river from louisville, get there at 9pm just befor the fireworks. if you go to the louisville side, get your conceal n carry permit first. tho you still have to put up with the drunks both staggering around starting trouble, hours of traffic and this year fewer vendors due to increased price of permits and complaints from local homeowners, at least you may get by without being mugged, raped, beaten or shot. doubt any of this check recent violence on louisvilles local news channels, lmpd and city leaders have made arrests for threats against the crowd, trying so hard to downplay threats yet this year for the first time theyve asked for help from homeland security, fbi and other agencies, our family will be home watching the fireworks from our roof, if you go, good luck and be safe

Great river walk to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. We walked across the pedestrian beige also which was really nice. Good playground for kids also.

“So So”

The long walk is not worth it. The view from the bridge is nice but not breathtaking and definitely not worth the risk. The area has had recent crime sprees from large (200) teens who have mugged and sent people to the hospital. Drive across the 2nd Street Bridge and view the river from one of the restaurants. Good food and experience.

this was once a nice park. now there are just troublemakers and criminals here. I saw a drug deal 4 homeless people accosting someone for money and the police were no where to be found add to that the recent violence from the citys youth in the west end and you have yourself your own piece of ghetto heaven shame louisville
