“All good but the housekeeping”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2008

Although the surrounding area is uninspiring, the hotel itself is good, with a well-lit parking lot, interior hallways, and secured entry. All of the front desk staff we dealt with were very courteous. The room was great (see pictures) - spacious, attractive, and clean (upon arrival).

Our only problem was with the apparently inept housekeeping staff, who didn't bother to service our room during our 2-night stay. The morning after our first night, as we were leaving for the day, there were at least three housekeepers working our floor, one of which was in the room next to ours. We even placed the "Housekeeping Please" sign on the door handle as we left. When we returned, we were highly annoyed to see that our room hadn't been touched all day. When we walked back down to the front desk to complain, the staff member at the desk checked our room number, and told us that the housekeeping staff had put us down for "Do Not Disturb" (!?!?!) I noted to him that not only had we NOT had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, we had in fact had the "Housekeeping Please" sign (which wasn't even the same color as the DND sign), and it was still hanging on the door when we had returned. He did apologize, and gave us clean towels and fresh supplies. I didn't make a scene with him because it obviously hadn't been his fault, but I would've liked to have given the inept housekeepers an earful, though.

Other than the lousy housekeeping staff, however, the hotel was fine. The rooms are attractive and well-furnished, it's convenient to the interstate and a short drive from downtown, and it's reasonably priced.

My family and I were passing through Louisville and needed a place to stay for the evening. We had our dog with us so our choices were limited. The Louisville La Quinta did not disappoint. Not only was it pet friendly, it was also very clean, up to date, and it exceeded our expectations. Breakfast the next morning was quick but great. We had a great experience and would not hesitate to stay there again if in the area.

  • Liked — It was super clean...rooms were a step above an ordinary hotel room.
  • Disliked — Nothing really...La Quinta could do better on the soap and shampoo but that's about it.

Our experience was great. The rooms were spacious, clean, well-maintained, and desk staff extremely courteous and helpful.
The only drawback was that there were not many restaurant options nearby. Will definitely staff here again!

This property is relatively new and in good condition. If you're just looking for a place to crash, this will work. We were disappointed to find no pool or spa like the myriad other LQ Suites we've used. Also be aware that this location has a more restrictive pet policy than other LQs - they expect you to book a pet room. More news to us.

Very convenient to the interstate and a good price, making it a good stop on our 10 night road trip. It was clean and comfortable, in a safe, though not terribly attractive area. Hallways were nice and wide. Staff was friendly. Great little business center on the first floor with two computers to use. They say all the rooms are suites, but it was really a regular size room with a set of cabinets which housed a refrigerator, microwave, and small bar-size sink. I believe you can get a "deluxe" suite which has a couch, but they only have that available with a king size bed. Breakfast was your typical donuts, bread/bagels/waffles to toast, boiled eggs, canned or fresh fruit and full size yogurts -- nothing special, but fresh, clean and well run. My only real concern was our non-smoking room smelled as if it had been smoked in and the odor was not masked well. We were too tired upon check in to try to switch.

My husband and I needed a park and fly place to stay before a redeye flight. We got a room for 62 dollars on a Friday night. We were surprised to find a friendly staff, people working out, people asking us if we needed help the next day, etc. We signed up for a 6am airport shuttle.

Our room was spacious, cheery and clean. The bed was comfortable and the linens felt good. We got an early wakeup call and enjoyed a continental breakfast. I would compare this to a Holiday Inn Express. The desk staff was friendly in the morning and the driver of the van had the van toasty when we took off on a cold morning. He was a friendly smiling person (pretty impressive for 6 am!) who told us he had worked for the owners- a couple- since they opened five years ago. He said they are there at all hours to make sure everything is run well and care very deeply about the employees and guests. It shows. We have stayed at nearby Executive Inns for more money and not good service. The return van was at the airport 15 min after we called. He took us right to our car, very good service.
I will always choose this property for our next park and fly package.

Booked this hotel after reviewing what other people said on tripadvisor. Got a good price for this La Quinta aa it was celebrating it's 5th year anniversary.

We were travelling from alabama to michigan to visit family andf chose this location for a overnight rest. This is the first La Quinta Suites that I have stayed at. The room was big with very nice furniture and comfortable beds. You cant go wrong with the price as the hotel is up to the standard of hotel that charge over $100. The breakfast was enough to satisfy your hunger. The location was excellent as it is just off I65, it is also close to the airport
