“BBQ and Bourbon Bonanza ”
Reviewed June 4, 2014 via mobile

A local recommended this place and it definitely lived up to expectations. All members of our group got the sampler - pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. You can get St. Louis style or Baby Back ribs. All three meats were excellent! The pulled pork was my favorite. It's served with little pickle slices and crisp onions on top. I could have eaten a bowl full of that! Truly all three meats satisfied and it was fun to try it all. We got one side (fried okra - so good!) for three and didn't even finish it all. You can substitute corn bread for Texas toast for a few dollars more - worth it. You get a little mini loaf. The bourbon selection is unbelievable - like 2 pages long. You can get a taste, a shot, or a glass. We were Bourbon naive, so asked the waitress for three tastes so we could sample a few. She did a great job picking some that wouldn't be too intense. Some advice - add an ice cube and a little water and they will go down oh so smooth.

“It was ok, not what we expected”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

First of all we discovered we aren't bourbon people so this may be part of it. The brisket was too greasy for me. The Mac n cheese and their homemade chips were very good.
If I went back, I would try something else!

“Easy to Find. Good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Traveling through town . Met people there for lunch. Had a salad with brisket. Wow. The brisket was very well done-very tasty. Another of our party had a salad with barbacue chicken and she felt the same. -salad and chicken were top notch.

Service person was not the friendly type, but i service was adequate. The value was good for a restaurant at that location.

Some trouble with parking because there was construction which temporarily removed most spaces on the street in front of the restaurant.

“great place to eat before a ballgame”

Frequently eat here before and after Yum Center events. Good food and service. But need to make reservations or the wait will be long.
