Our first trip to Gary's will certainly be our last. After having ordered two soft drinks, two salads and two bison ribeyes cooked medium, we had horrible service and that was better than our food. My ribeye was beyond overdone, and half my carrots were fine, the other half virtually raw. We were there approximately 1:45 minutes. An apologetic owner who failed to follow up.

We have been twice for dinner and found the atmosphere, the food and the service all topnotch.
The manager and or the owner come by each table to say hello and see if all is well. They really care about their diners.
My favorite is the appetizer of Buckwheat Pancakes with Caviar, try it, you'll love it!

First visit to this restaurant. We were in town for the derby, so we stopped here to eat. Food was good, staff was super friendly.

Service was great. I ordered the lamb and it was descent. The ceasar salad was good. As for the desserts, they are AMAZING! We ordered the dessert sampler, DELICIOUS!!! Bourbon bread pudding hit the spot!

Just made our first trip to Gary's on Spring. It's located in a beautifully renovated building in the Butchertown area of the city. The attraction was the upstairs, outdoor dining area. It was not a disappointment. The proprietor met us at the door and upon our request for outside seating he forewarned us that service was a little "slower" on the roof. We were delighted by the upfront warning, but countered that we wanted to savor the evening and no hurry was needed. The meal started with a well prepared Wedge salad and moved on to a potato encrusted baked sea bass. The sea bass was great and the potato surrounding it wonderful. It was garnished with brussel sprouts and a light cream sauce. Teresa had a Cosmo, her standard, and it was prepared to her request, no Triple Sec, Grand Marnier instead. A bottle of Nobilio was a very reasonable $20! We didn't venture dessert, but another couple there that we knew had the "sampler". Looked phenomenal! Bread Pudding, Chocolate cake and two cheese cakes.... Gained 10lbs just looking at it! We will be back to Gary's on Spring!
