My family went ziplining at the Meg Caverns this weekend. We had alot of fun. JJ and Sailor were great guides that kept us safe and had fun too. I would caution that people pay attention to the "challenge bridges" a few people in our group really did not like these and were not prepared for them. They were fun, but if you have issues with swinging bridges it may not be for you.

The mega cavern itself is pretty remarkable so as a "must see" it was ok. The tour guide was kind of annoying as was the rant about earthworms. The tour is also very expensive. There were some interesting historical parts, but overall could have done without.

If you take the Mega Cavern team tour, the tour guide gives a lot of interesting facts about the cavern and its uses.

Although what you actually see in the cavern is not particularly interesting, the history information is. And the highlight of the tour seems to be when the guide eats a red worm from the recycling facility.

The main attraction of the cavern is the zip line tour which cost $59-$79 depending on the day and time. There is also a Lights Under Louisville Christmas lights show which you can drive your car into the cavern to see for a fee of $25 per vehicle. This show runs from November 16 to December 30, 2012.

We paid 27 dollars for the tram tour. The guide was as interesting as he possibly could have been . There were some interesting facts about the Cubanmimissile crisis however I felt it was an expensive marketing ploy for other biz opts for the cavern. One long commercial.

Took the zipline tour on 10/17/2012 as part of an employer sponsered activity. This is something that is out of my comfort zone box, but what a rush! the guides that we had were fantastic in taking us through step by step instructions and insuring the safety of the tour. What a rush! the adrenaline rush is nothing like I have ever experienced before, I highly reccomend this as a must do experience
