So I am a local maybe a little partial to the place but Churchill Downs is a a fun experience everytime we go, pick a day to bet the ponies and take in the grounds you will not be disappointed. General admission is $2.00 for the normal racing days and food and beverage is reasonable, for a upgraded experience visit the Silks room, Millionaires row,or Jockey Suites, overall a great experience.

My husband and I attended a Police concert at Churchill Downs and had a very fun experience. Great venue for a show, even better for the horses!

If you are in town when the ponies are running...you must see! I love staying in the Wynn section. You can wear what you want...just not sloppy or torn jeans....and you can sit outside and smoke...and you can sit Any Where Outside..so don't let anyone tell you different. You have to spend $25 a person after you get the tickets....don't worry where you sit inside...there are t.v.'s everywhere. I would recommend spend the $25 on drinks per person...(it won't take long), and eat in the cafe's downstairs on floor 2, which you can get to inside, outside, or elevator. Fun day...and don't have to bet if you don't want....but why not? Good Luck!
