First, the good about the hotel is the quality of the sleeping room. It was ver clean and the bed was actually quite comfortable. Very decent for the price.

But, everything outside the room, was awful. We arrived at 4 pm and there were men in rough clothing drinking on the porch of the main entrance and several other men smoking. It IS a NON-SMOKING facility INSIDE, but everyone smokes at the doors outside. So, we (my wife, 1.5 yo baby, and I) had to walk through the smoke every time we cam sand went. They have opened their pool to paid memberships to people in the city which also brought in guests that had easy access to the room up until 9 pm. I know it's not fair to judge, but they also were a rough crowd.

My wife came home after shopping one evening to find more drinking/smoking men blocking a poorly lit guest entrance and wen her card didn't work she had to walk around to the front of the hotel, passing some working ladies of the night near the hotel's bar. Obviously, it concerns me about the safety of my wife having to walk around at night with drunk men who are looking for some action.

It's obvious that this used to be a place of class, and the facility still seems to hold the essence of that, but the clientele and the mgt don't seem to honor the same class.

What can I say expcept i would never stay there again. The hotel is old and dingy inside and out. The lobby looks like a seedy motor lodge. Upon entering the room I was first greeted with a foul odor that was intolerable. The room was dark with one small window.Bathroom seriously smelled like a men's locker room and feet. Towels were so cheap you could practically see through them. Whats even worse is the pool is not just for hotel guests. The public can pay to use it. So the pool is full of people all day drinking and having bbqs and playing music. Felt more like a trailer park than a hotel pool. Overall I would never advise anyone to stay here. I was supposed to stay for two nights but checked out after one night. Even though I had prepaid for the room, I just wanted to get out of the seedy motor lodge.

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting friends in Louisville. The hotel was definitely older. Our room was on the end of the hotel near the indoor pool/sauna, which might explain why the hallways were at least 15-20 degrees warmer than the rooms. Fortunately, the air conditioner in our room kept us cool. The room was adequate. It was pretty dated, and I think the shower faucet must have been from the mid 1980s, but everything was clean and worked well. The pools (indoor & outdoor) were really nice and well maintained. Service was good. Location was ideal, as it was right off of 264 and easily accessible. The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Don't expect to find anything very healthy. There were 3 kinds of cereal, oatmeal, and an assortment of donuts, muffins, and plain bagels. I would have appreciated fruit, yogurt, or some whole grain options. However, breakfast hours were long and seating was plentiful. There was also more than enough food out for the hotel guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I wouldn't have paid much more than the discounted rate we got through Expedia.

Excellent place to stay. Breakfast was very good and the room was nice and comfortable for a reasonable price. We just found it by accident while on our way to Nashville. It gave us a chance to see Churchill Down as well.

Room Tip: The first floor was best for us.

We arrived at 1 AM as we had advised the hotel and were met with a suspicious and unsmiling older man. The room was basic and had a musty odour. The bed had a definite dent.

Here on a pleasure trip for one night and wish we had planned a longer stay!
We had a door problem and they quickly moved us to a new room. The facility is convenient, clean, and quiet. Good value

We often use Expedia to get good deals on hotels, and often end up in more local places. We were pleased with the Breckenridge Inn.

It was nothing special, but exactly what we wanted, a pleasant place to stay. The room was large, the bed was comfy. The shower had the best shower head I have seen!

They have both an indoor and outdoor pool with a pleasant outdoor area, which we used very little because of the rain.

Nothing negative. It exceeded our expectations.
