Description: Fresh American Cuisine Ample portions of fresh, home-cooked food with a southern accent served with love in an artistically eclectic-industrial setting. That's why The Cafe has gathered legions of loyal customers and friends since 1996. Experienced restaurateurs Sal and Cindy Rubino delight in offering one of Louisville's most rewarding, affordable breakfast and lunchtime dining experiences. Sal can often be found "out front" greeting and serving guests, while Cindy has drawn on her decades of diverse cooking experience to develop the Cafe's unique menu of hearty breakfasts and mouth-watering pastries, satisfying sandwiches, elegant salads, hearty soups, and decadent desserts. The Cafe's inviting setting is a big part of its appeal. Located in a creatively restored old warehouse on the eastern edge of downtown Louisville, we may not look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you! Once inside, you will fall in love with this one-of-a-kind dining experience. So much so that you may want to share a wedding rehearsal, anniversary party or some other important evening event with us! The Cafe's breakfast and lunch customers are an interesting mix of people from all walks of life, all enjoying delicious food at an exceptional value.

the chef salad is good, but everything else I have had has been mediocre at best; maybe it's just what I ordered. I think the prices are a tad steep. $15 for lunch is a tad too much.

Had Art Nouveau Chicken Salad. Excellent, huge salad. The bread was fantastic. Not crazy about the sesame dressing, but it was served on the side so had the pesto ranch dressing which was great. But my husband loved the sesame dressing. He had the Tuscan Chicken Salad and loved it, too. Definitely want to eat here again and try the breakfast menu. Excellent service. Comfortable, eclectic decor. Walking distance to Louisville Stoneware. Highly recommend.

Terrific breakfast menu with delicious items at such reasonable prices. Lunch has a busy menu of salads...the chicken salad was perfect! Delicious deserts are irresistable! Free parking. Great for any age and they are happy to honor special requests on menu items. The giant patio is a favorite spot to relax under the umbrellas with festive and unique dishes. Enjoy!

Tired of fast food, we found this restaurant on tripadvisor while traveling through Louisville on our way home from Florida. It's conveniently located, in an old historic building just a few blocks off I-65. We highly recommend this restaurant - The food is unique, fresh, and excellent. Prices are around $8-$9 for lunch items. They also have some kid-friendly options, which makes this a good option for families.
