Exactly as advertised. Great house, great location! The bed was very comfortable - enough to take a short afternoon nap even though I don't normally do that. Tom and Mary were delightful. Walked to and from downtown. Will definitely try to stay here next visit to Louisville!

A co worker and myself stayed here years ago while attending a conference. We never forgot the comfort, hospitality, delicious breakfast (top quality everything) and the warm snacks, tea or coffee waiting for us as we returned in the evening after a full day of sessions/lectures. This is the perfect setting to unwind and relax. Instead of a busy hotel downtown with noise, people in a hurry just the hustle and bustle of a crowd. The inn is full of history. Tom and Mary Austin will so graciously show you around the inn and don't blink an eye to miss the fabulous and beautiful rooms filled with antiques. The bathrooms are very clean along with the rooms, very cozy. We were there Mon-Fri with no one else staying during the week. We were treated like royalty! When we left we had met best friends for life. Hope to be back to see you Tom and Mary.

Room Tip: My room was the Queen #1 and it was excellent. Any room would be a great choice!

This was a return to Austin Place visit and so glad we stopped in Louisville for a night. Tom & Mary offer FIVE STAR service. Period. Breakfast was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the evening snacks (including fresh baked cookies) were a nice treat. The place just has a good "feel". It's always good to throw a B&B experience in to the mix, when you travel a lot. And this is a good one to throw in.

This was our 4th stay here in the last 5 years. As always Mary and Tom were great. We stayed in the jacuzzi room. Comfortable and always spotless. The breakfast was also great. We brought some wine with us and Tom saw us put it in the fridge and he set out glasses and a cork screw without even having to ask.

My wife and I met long time friends from another city for the weekend (two nights) at Austin's Inn place in Louisville. This was the best B&B we have ever stayed at. It is professionally run by a husband and wife (Tom and Mary) that were great hosts. The Inn is charming, the common areas were great to sit and visit with friends, and the hospitality was outstanding. The food was also very, very good. The location looked a bit sketchy as we drove up from I-65, but the area turned out to be fine. We walked to downtown and Fourth Street Live and did not feel threatened. It was very convenient to downtown. There is also a Kroger two blocks away that we got beer and snacks for our second night. We had planned on going out, but the atmosphere at the Inn suited us just fine and we enjoyed the night in the common area. A great place, I highly recommend it.

My partner and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Austin's. The Inn keepers, Tom and Mary, were so cordial and kind. The B&B consists of two Victorian homes which are connected by a courtyard. The decor is beautiful and rich and the atmosphere inviting. Our room was spacious and tidy. The attention to small details were everywhere, from stress relieving lotions to an alarm clock which projects the time on the ceiling!
The hot tub in our room was one of the more comfortable we've ever experienced and was a relaxing way to end our evening. The breakfast we enjoyed in the morning was excellently prepared and delicious! An omelet with portabella mushrooms and spinach topped with cheddar. Fresh pineapple, roasted potatoes and country ham accompanied the omelet. All served in a lovely dining room complete with beautiful dishes. We also dined with some great folks from W. Va and Arizona.
Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the parlor or the game room but we did enjoy some time in the garden.
We found the room rate to be very fair especially with all of the amenities. If there is one draw back it would be the location. I wouldn't recommend taking a late night stroll. If you should need to go out late I would take your car. There are some very cool old shops, restaurants and bars in immediate area. Also, a room toward the front of the B&B would probably be better for sleeping. Our room was toward the back of the house which is just feet from the highway which was incredibly noisy. We would consider staying again when in Louisville.

Room Tip: Room toward the front of the B&B would most likely be quieter.

My wife and I stayed at Austin's Inn Place B&B last weekend. We found it while doing a search on a B&B web site. We wanted to spend a day in Louisville exploring and decided that this was the place to stay.
Overall, we loved it. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had one of their hot tub rooms, which we found to be very relaxing after a busy day traveling.
They offered complimentary cokes and water via a stocked refridgerator in the kitchen, along with cookies and snacks. We also took advantage of their game room, complete with dart board, pool table and movies.
The breakfast was a southern homemade breakfast which was excellent.
