We were warmly welcomed before seeing the orientation video at the start of a nearly hour-long tour. The video was well-done and informative and the house itself was authentically restored just two years ago. Brian Cushing was our young, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable guide. He elaborated on the fascinating history that the house represents, including the founding of Louisville, the expansion of the Northwest Territory, and visits by Lewis and Clark and presidents Zachary Taylor and Andrew Jackson. Don't miss the small, but well-done museum that gives a historical overview of the times and is appropriate for all ages.
