Owner description: Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by! Please visit our official website for up-to-date hours and admission prices.

As a baseball fan, really cool to see how these bats are made first hand. We took advantage of the extended summer hours and arrived at 6:00pm with half priced tickets. 2 hours was plenty of time for the tour and time in the gift shop. Good experience!

“Must see in Louisville”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

If you like baseball at all, the Louisville Slugger Museum is a must. Great sense of history in a working factory making critical equipment for the best, most demanding players in the World. Convenient parking right behind, good interactive exhibits for the kids.

“Louisville Slugger”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

We had a wonderful time visiting the museum and factory. I even caught my boyfriend (who is NOT a fan of baseball) enjoying himself along the tour. The tour group was full of children who had trouble standing still and keeping quiet during the tour of the factory. While the horseplay was irritating for adult travelers, it was also unsettling to see the staff stare pleadingly at the negligent parents while attempting to reiterate the dangers of being in a working factory. The value of the price paid was wonderful. The gift shop was clean and well stocked. The mini bats are always a welcome delight!! Thank you to the staff for a wonderful time.

“A little under-welming”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

For the price of the ticket, the tour seemed a little lackluster. Then again, there aren't too many ways to make a baseball bat!
The best part of the tour was the free mini bat you got at the end.
There is a little museum area, but I was left wanting more- it seemed like there wasn't a whole lot of stuff in it.
It would be a great tourist spot for hardcore baseball fans!

“Interesting Tour and Museum”
Reviewed July 3, 2014 via mobile

Tour / Museum takes about 2 hours. You can buy a bat and have it personalized. Tour was extremely interesting and took about 30 min. The statistics regarding how many bats they make, etc... are impressive.
