Owner description: Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by!

The Louisville Slugger Museum is a must see, even if you are not a baseball fan. They have demonstrations of the bat making process during all operating hours. Each person receives a miniature bat at the end of the tour. They also have an original signed bat (not a copy) for each person with whom they have ever had a contract. Perfect for couples and families and a must see for baseball fans.

I highly recommend this place for kids young and old. I am 47 and stopped into the factory and museum after business meetings in Louisville. Tour was great, baseball film was great, and the batting cage was awesome. Ability to try out different bats that the greats used (Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Pete Browning) was excellent fun and the staff at the place could not have been any nicer. Really really excellent place that I hope to get back to someday with my kids.

Interesting tour if you have any interest in either baseball or woodworking. The bat making process is straightforward but it's all the little tidbits of information the guide throws in that makes it really worthwhile. Fans will appreciate the particulars for the various players.

A fun, interesting, educational place to see! I lived in Louisville for 18 years and can't believe I have never seen the museum. Fun for everyone!

If you are any type of baseball fan this is a must visit. Unfortunately I only had 2 hours to spend there. I could have spent many more. The tour is great and out tour guide was perfect. Don't leave without going in the batting cages. They have replica bats of players from long ago and todays stars. I hit with a Ty Cobb bat and a Buster Posey bat. Wow, what a difference. Don't miss this place.
