Owner description: Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by!

Great for history buffs! The guides are informative and friendly, answering questions throughout the tour. Inexpensive too. You can buy a bat with your name on it... many models to choose from. Bats were $65 or so... nice value. Plenty of places to take pics, but you can't take photos on the tour. Lego room was super cool, too. Free mini-bats for each person.

We are huge baseball fans so we decided to make the trip to the Slugger museum. If you are expecting this to be a huge museum, you will be disappointed. There is very little museum to this place. The factory tour is interesting though. It takes you through the actual functioning factory and shows you how the bats are made. This was a great sight to see. Afterwards you can go to the batting cages hitting ten balls for $1. The coolest thing is that you can pick a specific player's bat to hit with - like Hank Aaron or Derek Jeter. It makes you feel like a real pro!

My favorite attraction in Louisville. One hour guided tour through working factory .Starting with the wood logs , through 4 stages to the final product , this was a great experience for all ages. You get the see the bats of many major league players (favorite was Buster Posey). Museum Shop is great with bats , and accessories to buy and reasonable.

Great factory tour that takes you right on the production floor and shows you from beginning to end how the famous Louisville Slugger bats are made! If you're flying don't put your mini bat in your carry-on... It will join the display at the airport!
