“New and Improved”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

We first visited Maker's Mark in 2007 and enjoyed the tour immensely. Visited again in October 2012 and found an expanded visitor's center and tasting rooms as well as additional rooms open in the family home. Our guides were informative and entertaining on both trips. Highly recommend taking the time to visit Loretto!

“Nice place and an art fair to boot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

We visited on a Saturday, they had an arts & craft fair going on at the same time as we visited, well organized and lots to see. Loved the fact that you could purchase a bottle and dip it in wax yourself, makes for a very personalized experience. Probably the biggest souvenir store of all the distilleries we did!!!

“Excellent, a must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

We made the treck through the winding roads of Loretto to get to Maker's Mark after visiting the 1792 Distillery. Soooo worth the drive! The grounds are stunning with all the original buildings. The tour was excellent, very knowledgeable and fun. You get to taste two different types of Mash which was a fun and very unique experience. They give you four tastings of all the brands they make, as well as the best tasting bourbon balls I have had. I can't say enough about the gift shop. You can dip anything you want in the wax! We thought this was so cool. You get to dip your own bottles, but anything else is hand dipped by an employee. Seeing the production line where the bottles are filled and dipped is so very cool as well. I hope I get to go back to that place again, I would recommend this as a must see distillery in all of bourbon country. This was worth the 7 dollars, and children were welcome, though our 13 yr old was a llitle bored, especially during the tasting.

Part of the famous Bourbon Trail, this world famous distillery is a must see location if your anywhere in the area. A great tour is offered and you can dip your own bottle to form the famous red drip. The grounds are beautiful.

“Loved this tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

Beautiful facility and the drive out was nice too. Guide was very informative and fun. Be sure to dip your own bottle and you may want to buy a bottle of the White. It's only sold there and our guide mentioned to us (not during the tour but in a private conversation later) that they may not be selling it anymore. We had our three children with us, the teenager enjoyed it but the little ones were bored.
