“AWESOME!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

Visited Maker's Mark first back in 2011 and just went back for their "Cocktail Party" for Ambassador's on 3 Nov 2012. GREAT place to visit, I'd go back over and over to see how they craft their brand of bourbon.

Beautiful setting in a lovely valley, historic buildings and location. Well worth the drive and the time to get there (it's a little off the "beaten path")

“Beautiful grounds, rich with history and tradition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

A little out of the way but well worth every mile. This distillery offers history, character and tradition that many of the others lack. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The tour is informative and gives you a chance to walk the grounds and learn about the whole bourbon making process. Great place to spend a few hours. This was one of our favorite stops on the Kentucky Bourbon trail. Credit should be given to the owners who have done a wonderful job of maintaining the grounds and preserving the history and quality of the product, well done!

“Third best stop on the Bourbon Trail”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

Easy walking tour with well informed tour guides in a beautiful location . Different tasting ritual than other distilleries which helps you really learn what you like or don't like when it comes to bourbon!

“Very interesting tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

We visited 5 distilleries on the Bourbon Trail and I really liked this one. Our tour guide was very informative and the property itself was beautiful. Waited in a building that was set up to look like the founder's home (the kitchen where the wife came up with the idea of the red wax cap). Check out the pictures on the walls in the dining room.

“Interesting and tasteful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

I have just recently moved to Louisville, KY and I have always enjoyed the taste of a fine KY bourbon......like Maker's Mark. So hearing that just a short drive would get me to the home of Maker's Mark my finance and I decided to head on over to Loretto, KY. Touring the disterlly was very interesting and insightful to see exactly how great tasting bourbon is made. We also really enjoyed the chance to taste product from its rawest form (white lighting) to the preimer form of Maker's 46. Also in the gift shop you are able to apply your own wax coat to bottles and glasses which is an experience you should have while visiting. The staff was friendly and answered any and all questions. This is a great place to visit and one I am very sure we will be coming back to again and again. :-)
