“Great Hotel but sad staff”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We have been at this hotel for 4 nights now and short of one staff member, Leslie, who was super nice. She remembered us and talked with us about our shopping trip that day and the fun we were having with our Grand daughter, the staff has been just short of rude. They do not smile or make you feel welcome at all. In fact I stopped at the front desk a few times and felt I was a bother to them. Ask to break a $100 dollar bill and was looked at like we are not your bank. Never had that before and have ask that same think in many hotels. The very same thing in the restaurant staff did a good job of waiting on you but not a single smile or friendly word in 4 days. Does not make you, the guest, feel welcome at all. I'm old and been in the people business a long time, sadly, the old part, not the people business. But I found that when this is the case someone is making the business a very difficult or unhappy place to work. I blame management for this it can and needs to be worked on and fixed.
Short of the staff issue this was a great hotel to stay at. Very clean, and comfortable in and out of your room. Wonderful sitting areas on each floor to relax and visit with family or friends. each room being a suite is nice too. We ate in the restaurant for all three meals at least once and food was very good. Cocktail prices were very high I thought for Lexington, but had a great selection, as expected in KY. home of the bourbon trail. My suggestion have a drink in your room then go down and eat.
So if having a sour staff does not bother you to much you will enjoy this hotel. Short of that staff issue it was great.

I felt so welcomed from every staff member! The front office manager checked us in, and she was absolutely fantastic. She helped us find things to do in Lexington, thanked us for our HHonors loyalty, and put us on the top floor. The rooms have full length windows, which makes the hotel kinda look a little '80s sci-fi on the outside, but offer fantastic views from the inside. The rooms were huge for the price with everything you'd expect from a Hilton. We had drinks from the bar and food from room service (crab dip and quesadillas). Both the young guy with the short hair at the bar and the young lady with the dark curly hair from room service were super-friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious. The gift shop was crazy cheap for a hotel and was great for some late-night snacks. Parking was free and easy, and the hotel itself is very easy to find. The hotel is in a great part of town, and it's just a short drive to downtown and area attractions. We'd definitely stay there again!

We had a block of rooms at the Hilton Lexington Suites for a family gathering in Lexington. The reservations staff worked with us to negotiate a very reasonable rate, though breakfast was NOT included in our rate. The rooms were spacious with the sleeping area separated from the living area. There was plenty of room for socializing / gathering in the common areas and hallways. This concerned be at first because people did congregate into the night. However, because the room layout, once I closed the main door and the door to the bedroom, I had a quiet night!

On our first morning in Lexington, we woke to snow, so we opted for the pricey buffet breakfast. With some room rates, this was included, but, again, was not included with our group rate. It was around $14/person! This hurts if you are a light breakfast eater like myself, but there was a good selection of food and it was of pretty good quality. Had it not been snowing, I would have opted to eat elsewhere, and we did the following morning.

The excercise facility was clean and well maintained, but lacked a stationary bike. There were a couple of ellipticals, treadmills, and a nice set of hand weights.

Nearby was plenty of restaurants and shopping, including a mall.

Very nice hotel. Had never stayed in a Hilton Suites hotel. Upscale version of an Embassy Suites. Great service. Nice value. Rooms very nice and comfortable. Would very happily stay there again during my next trip to Lexington.

We had a weekend getaway to see a good comedian in Lexington and had a fantastic time! The Hilton was, as you would expect, fantastic. First class accommodations and service coupled with unbelievable convenience to "Comdedy off Broadway". Restaurants, Bistros and the comedy club withint walking distance. The folks at were Hilton exceptional and it was a wonderful weekend getaway.

Room Tip: We got a great deal on the hotel room suite. While we didn't have the typical free continental...

This suites only hotel was a nice surprise for one major reason: its design encourages people to congregate. On each floor, there are multiple lounges, nicely appointed, just inviting folks to congregate. We were business colleagues needing spaces to meet beyond the meeting rooms or sleeping rooms and VOILA, here they were. The rooms are well laid out and while not a full housekeeping set-up, the refrigerator and bar area enables you to have breakfast in your room, or snacks which helps manage costs. Families were in full evidence, as were traveling sports teams, so it is a very versatile accommodation.

Room Tip: The hotel can be noisy at night if there are teams in residence regardless of where one's suite...

Our goal was to stay in an area convenient to the Keeneland Track for the the January Sale. Not only was the hotel in close proximity to Keeneland and in easy reach of Stud Farms in the area, it was convenient to shopping and a multitude of restaurants. This hotel is very well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large with a hallway connecting a large living room with tv, desk, chair, couch, table, sink/coffee maker and dresser to the bedroom a king bed, another tv, dresser, 6 pillows. The quality of said pillows allowed us to leave of personal pillows in the car.

Room Tip: Be specific in asking for what you want, and this staff will accommodate your individual requests. E...
