Went there for our anniversary and the atmosphere was romantic and sheik. Good menu selection available. Our server, Ester was outstanding! Tuna and Seafood Risotto was good (but not great) but $32 ea. a little much considering salads are alacarte.

The reviewers who admit that Le Deauville serves excellent food combined with extremely competent cooking should realize that they are in the 21st century. You can't get this quality and finesse for $15 an entree any more and in fact you never could get it in Lexington, KY in the past at any price. Those reviewers should stick to Applebees and the Texas Roadhouse. The fact is that in more than 6 visits to Le Deauville, my wife and I have both had wonderfully satisfying dinners, particularly if one chooses a nightly special. The service is excellent if you are a reasonable person and we are really most fortunate to have this restaurant in Lexington.

If this restaurant had billed itself as a "typical French bistro" and charged in the $15/entree range, I would have given it 5 stars. The food was solid and unpretentious--not fine dining but good, competent, bistro fare. Instead, it charged in the $25-$35/entree range which was simply not appropriate to either the venue or the cuisine. My sense is that this restaurant is clearly a bistro, and it does that well. The service was pleasant and certainly efficient enough. The atmosphere was congenial. The wine list was fine--again, not exceptional, but appropriate for a bistro. The bottom line is that it is charging fine dining prices for a bistro product. Looking at the check, I felt cheated and resentful at the end of the evening.

This is a "can't miss" restaurant if you are dining in Lexington. The food is authentic french. The environment is lively and Mark, the host was exceptional and attending to guest needs.

it is way too pricy for the service. the food was ok, if you are hungry, stay away from this place, because the food served is too little! typical french arrogance, the waiter who is the manager and the owner at the same time is rude, undependable and can't communicate well with his guests. we were in Lexington on a conference, and none of us enjoyed the place (more than 20 people) he pays special attention to rich people or those who are well dressed or look rich, the rest of us did not care much! none of us is going back!
