Oh Lord, please let this poor guy make it. Food is OVER THE TOP, but everything else, decor aside, about this place is W R O N G & worth fixing !!!! $16 for a lobster roll with enough lobster for two lobster rolls. So why not just use 1/2 the lobster and drop the price to a more competitive, oh, say, $9.00. {Hey Tom [owner], note, I just increased your margins and hopefully made your place more attractive to potential customers.

I'll admit, I've only had the lobster rolls, 6 this week, THEY ARE TOO MUCH!!!!! SOOOO TASTY, FRESH, NO COMPLAINTS. Except I don't see any customers. Got rent to pay, staff to pay, vendors to pay, need patrons to do this. Cute interior, tables outside, the printed materials are on the wrong paper, too expensive, doesn't fit the theme of the place. But no problems with the food.

Service ...... YIKES! Cheerful but prep area WAY TOO SMALL!!!!! Only one bun warmer; really slows the through-put when only one bun at a time can be worked. Tom [owner] you need to solve this problem and pick up the service pace. Also, things would move faster if you were putting less lobster into each bun, it takes the staff so long to OVERSTUFF those buns, not leave any of that lobster behind! And they are very careful to do that!

Love this place, am going broke patronizing it, and need to do it while I can because I, unfortunately, see failure written all over it. PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Meanwhile, Lexingtonians, patronize this place, while you can, it is really good, hope it builds an audience and makes it. But don't count on it.

This is a basic seafood shack in a storefront in downtown Lexington on the corner of Broadway and Short, close to the Hilton, Hyatt and Rupp Arena. Lobster is flown in from Maine and the Lobster Roll with mayo and a dab of butter is wonderful. This is a basic operation where you order either a lobster, crab or shrimp roll, lobster bisque, cole slaw, chips, the soup of the day and soft drinks or beer. You find a seat on a stool at a plain table and your order will be deliver promptly. If you remember the seafood shack by the shore up east , this is it in a different locale.
Fine diners, look elsewhere.
