“Hidden Beauty”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

A delightful hidden treasure just off Nicholasville Rd. Outstanding menu and the food is marvelous. Our server, Jessica made the evening so very perfect with her timing. The food quality, quantity and appearance is fantastic. A place for the entire family or a great romantic retreat.

“wonderful anniversary dinner while out of town”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

We ventured to this restaurant for our sixth anniversary based on tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We did not have a reservation, so started out in the bar. The bartender was not very attentive, so we were concerned about the evening, but once we were moved to the dining room with Tina as our server, everything went very well. The arancini we shared as an appetizer was superb; not dry at all. The salads were fresh and the dressings great without being cloying. I had the carbonara italiano - excellent. A neighbouring table, also celebrating their anniversary (they come to this restaurant every year for their anniv) told us we HAD to get the tiramisu. Not having any more room in our stomachs, we took a piece "to go". Apparently it is an award-winning dessert.

“A place for regular evenings out....Would be "excellent" except for minor mistake with order...”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

The food and service was excellent overall. The dining areas provide a "calm" dining experience without the hustle and bustle one sometimes experiences with "chains". There is a dining area outside which would be a good experience during the spring and fall seasons. The location is on a major highway, however it can be hard to find if you are not familiar with the area plus is "sneaks up on you" and is therefore easy to miss.

“Outstanding!”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

What a fantastic experience!

We had a great waiter, Norman, who helped us right off the bat by telling us about the special that runs before 7pm giving you a discount on several of the appetizers (we were wavering between getting a big dish each or sharing a bunch of little dishes) That decided us and we ordered quickly to get in under the wire and he rushed off to get our order in on time.

Ask for Norman!

Then the salads arrived. I've never had a caeser quite like theirs. The dressing was very subtle, and squeezing your lemon over the salad was part of the experience. It was delicious, very fresh, and not heavy and wilted like a lot of caesers are.

When our small plates arrived, we were ready to be impressed.

The arancini win my appetizer list hands down. Cheesy rissotto balls deep fried, they came out with a chunky marinara sauce and so gooey and warm...I'm drooling thinking about them. Then I'd have to say the gnocchi with fontina, the garlic bread, and the fungi al forno.

It's only a three hour drive from my house...

“Disappointing”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

I have been dining at Giuseppe's off and on for 20 years. It is either on or off as far as a dining experience. Tonight it was an off experience. The veal piccata was good but the chicken buona vita was not good. Dry, over salty, a total turn off. The salad was over powered by the dressing. The chocolate Martini was way below par.
The server did her job but really did not seem sincere. Another waiter came by and asked if everything was ok and we told him about the experience. He sincerely apologized. The other server came by with the check and never acknowledged there were any problems.
It was our wedding anniversary and we were really looking forward to a wonderful meal to celebrate but it was really disappointing. Will not be back anytime soon.
