“Hate to disagree with other reviewers......”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

I had dinner here on a Saturday evening in Octobe 2013 on the hibachi side. I ordered the hibachi steak. The chef was ok, it was the usual show. The food wasn't awful but it wasnt good either. The steak was fine and cooked as ordered. The salal at the begining of the meal was just bagged lettuce with some weak runny orange dressing. I figured it wasn't a salad place so it had to get better. The soup served next was just plain weird with a chemical like taste and a slice of mushroom and onion sliver. Then came the main course. It has no flavor, no spices nothing just bland rice and steak. I asked for hot sauce just to so it would have some flavor. The entire table agreed-something was left out of the cooking process. It needed spices and flavor, really disappointing due to the bill for 4 being over a 100 dollars with the gratuity already added in. I would not recommend this place at all.

“Only place we will eat sushi!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

My family of 4 loves Miyako! Very fresh, always great service and amazing food. We sit on the sushi side, but going to the restroom puts us walking through the hibachi side and its quite entertaining.

Kids always get the chicken teriyaki, and always clean their plates. The miso soup is perfect and the salad is just right. Tempura is wonderful here as well.

Hubby and I always get nigiri (salmon, smoked salmon, yellowtail, tuna, eel) and have recently fallen in love with the Avocado Tower. It is now a staple!!

“Good combination of hibachi and sushi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

,this restaurant has a nice atmosphere. the chefs are fun if you catch food in your mouth give you a shot of sake. the sushi is excellent in the chefs are fairly quick about bringing it to your text. go a little early in the evening so that you can be sure to get the best service. good value for the money.

“Good sushi for an inland city....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant has great service, the staff is very prompt and helpful. We sat at the bar which was a nice experience, the chefs were very nice and seemed happy to be doing their job. I have ate at many sushi places across the country and this wasn't my favorite, but to be so far away from the ocean, the food tasted as good as it can be. The miso soup is very rich and the fried cheese roll was my favorite (its like a crab rangoon but creamier). The decor is a bit dark but has sort of an authentic feel to it. Overall the sushi part was good....but don't expect great.

“Good Sushi Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

This was my 3rd different Lexington area sushi experience. The sushi quality was good, not great. The service was prompt and our orders were accurate. They also gave the largest sashimi pieces I have ever gotten. The building was a bit worn, but I though the atmosphere was good. The sushi prices were a tad high for some of the standard rolls, however the prices for sashimi and specialty rolls are in line with other places.

Overall, Miyako was a good sushi experience. Miyako is not a must dining experience, but if you are in the area and want decent sushi, then I would have no hesitation to recommend this restaurant. I would definitely eat there again.
