Description: Cheapside is located in the heart of Downtown Lexington. Three blocks from Rupp Arena facing Cheapside Park & the Fifth Third Pavilion. We have been serving great food and fabulous beverages for over 30 years. Our menu features variety: great burgers, sandwiches, smoked and roasted meats, and a new and growing section of the menu featuring fresh and Modern Mexican cuisine. We feature a large selection of premium tequilas, craft beers and classic cocktails. Cheapside has long been known as a great place for outdoor dining and Happy hour on our famous Patio and the Oasis deck. Also featuring the best in local live entertainment on weekends. Come for a great dinner and stay for the party!

This is one nice Downtown Pub. We stopped on for a quick bite to eat and a drink. The atmosphere was better then a lot of pubs in the area.

Service was very good. Our server was very quick and very sociable. A trait sometimes lost on pub atmospheres.

We both ordered sandwiches. I had brisket and the other sandwich was chicken salad. Both were very tasty and somewhat large. One nice feature is they offer as locally brewed beer on draft.

Will most likely return in the future.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The food was good and they had a large selection (including many vegetarian options).

We had a large group of folks who went to eat at Cheapside one evening during a training for work. There were probably 30 or 40 of us, and Cheapside handled the group beautifully. They were ready for us, and we fit comfortably in their back room. Our servers were friendly and competent, and easily took care of everyone. I was a little surprised by the menu- based on the name of the restaurant and the look of it, I was expecting the menu to be a little more burgers and sandwiches, instead of the more "meal" type dishes they had. The food was delicious, though, and we had a great time.

Located in the heart of Lexington, the Cheapside is a joint with a couple surprises. The questions that could easily arise about the darkened speakeasy decor get parried quickly by an eclectic bill of fare and eager wait staff.

Match a glass of Malbec (from a chic, little wine list) with the Cowboy Chili. Or one of the staple barley pops on tap (like the local, West 6th Street Ale, if available) with the Nacho Pizza. Either combo should please.

Price-wise, the Cheapside isn't that cheap. Two weary travelers or working class patrons can easily rack up a $50 ticket in no time.

Overall, don't expect too much from this quaint pub and you'll walk away satisfied.

I had the Downtown Brown - very good! We sat outside and they had the heaters going. We weren't at all cold. Great service.
