Review of Sarah's corner cafe - CLOSED

Sarah's corner cafe
Cuisines: Barbecue
Description: Ribs were awesome, moist and smokey . Brisket and pulled pork were microwaved to reheat and that made them dry and chewy. If you could get it straight off the smoker that too would probably be fantastic.

Set in a building that's at least 50 years old out in the country on US 60, this is the best barbecue to be found in this part of the Commonwealth. Anything from traditional pulled pork to the amazing smoked turkey breast is sure to please. But if you don't take time to get to know Ralph and L.D., you've missed the best part of the trip. Nice, friendly people putting out fabulous food - what more could you possibly need? Just make sure to try the home made ice cream, especially the Zagnut!

It was a bit further out but well worth the drive. The owners are very friendly and welcome strangers warmly. Since it was our first visit, she recommended the sampler platter (feeds two). Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans. Sarah's is on our list of "go back to's"
