My wife and I chose to dine here for our anniversary. We came on a Friday evening when there was a show at the Opera House. Perhaps because we weren't dressed quite as fancily as the theater-goers (though we were not underdressed), the hostess who greeted us did not appear to want to seat us in the dining room. (We'd tried to make a reservation but, alas, they don't accept them.) The waiter who served us, named Jesse, was very attentive, however-- maybe the best service we've ever had in a restaurant.
I'm not sure what their target audience is, on the one hand they have very pricey items on the other they have burgers. The atmosphere was higher-class, but there was a TV with ESPN on in the back.
I would not come here if I were purely wanting good Mediterranean food-- there are much better options in Lexington. The hummus was quite bland. I had the quinoa pasta, it was very filling and reasonably priced. The salmon in it tasted like it had come from a can, however. My wife had the Classic Chicken and recommends it.
One oddity-- our waiter ran us down in the parking lot thinking we'd left too abruptly (after we'd paid, sat for a bit, etc-- they'd cleared our table) and to make sure we weren't disappointed in our service. That was a bit off-putting, but we were satisfied.
They were renovating their barista counter while we were there, so I'd give the cafe a chance when the renovation is finished.
