“Wonderful Quaint Homestyle Nook of a Restaurant”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

It was a LOVELY surprise. I am not from KY and driving out 'in the middle of nowhere' and found Windy Corners. GREAT BBQ, Southern cooking. It was quite crowded just at the height of noon on Sunday, which made it pretty noisy, but it was a good feeling we were all there to eat some great food and socialize. Kind of a 'big family' feel. I would DEFINITELY keep going back. I wish I could have sampled it all! Great place, you won't be disappointed!

“What food should be”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Fresh, made from scratch, local ingredients in a charming atmosphere--this place has it all. The food was delicious, flavorful and innovative. It's housed in a charming cafe-like building surrounded by horses. I can't recommend this place enough, and the drive to get there is one of the best in the country.

“shrimp and grits”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

The shrimp and grits there are as good as I have had anywhere. The portion is more than enough for the healthiest appetite. The stone ground grits and cheese are lusheshes .
This is a small restaurant and on certain nights the wait can be long but the effort from the staff and the uniqueness of the place gives it that special feel.

“Too long of a wait”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

They use fresh produce and herbs. The food was pretty good, however it is so crowded at lunch, that the line snakes thru where people have been seated to eat. I think that makes the atmosphere for those seated uncomfortable. Not cool.

“A special place”
Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

When something is really great, word gets around. So, don't be surprised if the parking lot is full or you have to wait in line for a little while to order your food.

But the food is tasty and the atmosphere is special, so be patient. You will leave here feeling like you had an experience, especially if you are fortunate enough to see a bluegrass band play while you eat.

Try to save room for a piece of pie or a giant cookie. Dessert is excellent and the portions are huge.
