Windy Corners is located in horse country. There is nothing else around it. It is usually pretty crowded so try to go at off times. The food is very good. You order at the register and food is delivered to your table.shrimp po boy is good. One time wanted tri tip sandwich but they were out. Fun place to go with a group.

“Location, location,”

Pretty good food; pretty fabulous location. We stopped for lunch on our way to the Red River Gorge. The shrimp po'boy was really tasty but skimpy on shrimp compared to a typical po'boy. The red potato salad was really good. My sister had the Big Blue(or whatever) and didn't like it at all. We wanted to go back and buy some pastries but would have had to wait again in line.
But the scenery is worth the trip.

“Wonderful pre-game meal”

Had the opportunity to eat here before the Alabama vs Kentucky football game. My wife and I both had sandwiches, the crawfish and roast beef, and loved them! Our gps took us the scenic route and led us through the country.

“Great BBQ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

My husband had heard about Windy Corner, so for our first visit we went there on a Saturday afternoon. I had the Stone Cross Farm Pulled Pork BBQ Basket with Slaw, corn cake and pinto beans. It was excellent and very filling. The pinto beans were seasoned with ham and cooked to perfection. I like the fact that the food is Kentucky Proud.
The staff is friendly but all business. Although the place was crowded, we were served within 10 minutes of ordering. We have been there a couple of times since our first visit and the food is always good.
It is a bit out of the way, but well worth the drive.

“Close to home and great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

Just happened to pass on the way to an apple orchard and decided to stop on the way home and have lunch. We absolutely loved the food. There were four of us and each had something different and it was all very good. The food is Kentucky proud and locally sourced and oh so tasty. Not fancy, just great food at a reasonable price.
