We decided on this restaurant based on the Review in AAA book. I was excited by the recommendations for Walleye pike and tuna and other seafood products. However when we arrived these items were not on the menu and the staff claimed not to remember ever having these items. Nonetheless, the menu looked interesting and the prices were very reasonable. Also for a Wednesday the dining room was not very crowded so we decided that the Pork tenderloin medallions with apples sounded very good for $15. The meal included a salad, choice of potatoes and vegetables. I had a wedge salad which came with blue cheese dressing and a sprinkling of dried cranberries, pecans, gouda cheese and some bacon. It was very large and I decided to save some to go with my entrée. My idea of medallions is 3 or 4 half dollar size portions of pork, but my plate contained 3 pork chop size pieces of meet, a huge serving of redskin mashed potatoes and tender buttery snow peas. It was enough for two average size servings. AND it was absolutely delicious!!. The meat was juicy and tender, the potatoes were rich and filling the snow peas - tender and buttery. Regretfully, because we were traveling and could not take part of the meal with us. The waitress was very friendly and efficient.. The restaurant had an ambience of the Old South as it has been part of the hotel for a long time so over all it was a delicious and pleasant experience. Well Done Staff!.
