Right off the heart of downtown, it was recommended by a local acquaintance. Nice location for a business lunch, and with a quality menu and drinks, I could see it being a nice evening spot. Service was excellent. Enjoyed the prime rib.

This restaurant was recommended by a tour guide at the Mary Todd Lincoln Home and it was within walking distance of our location. The atmosphere, menu, food and service were all fantastic. Fried pickles came with our sandwiches. One of us ordered the catfish sandwich, while the rest of us ordered a pulled pork with special sauce. Will go back anytime we are
visiting the Lexington area.

I have dined at Nick Ryan's three times in the past three weeks - lunch and dinner - and each experience was excellent.

For lunch, the burger is really outstanding. It's really too big, but it's so tasty it's almost impossible not to eat it all.

We had dinner with another couple and each entree was outstanding. The short ribs were among the leanest and best ever. Catfish was terrific and the steak frites was cooked perfectly. The pork chop was also excellent.

They have a full bar. Cocktails are OK, but nothing truly special. Their house wines are quite good, though.

Service has uniformly been very attentive and friendly, though not overbearing. They have indoor and outdoor dining.

Pricing isn't cheap, but it's reasonable for the value. Parking in the back of the restaurant is a little slim, but they have an auxiliary lot about a block away.

This is becoming one of our favorite dining destinations.

A friend recommended we tried Nick Ryan's when visiting Lexington. We visited on a Wednesday night. It is tucked on a cute street in a redeveloped area of Lexington. The menu has small plates as well as full entrees. We had Brie with pears delicious. We had the French onion soup which was interesting. My husband had the Filet. He said it was ok but nothing special. I had the short rib sliders. Honestly, I found them to be bland. My daughter had the basket of fries and said they were delicious. We ate on the patio which was very relaxing. The service was good. It is a nice place but if I return I will order differently.
