This restaurant is obviously well-known since it is universally crowded. Service is quick and high quallity and the food is 4.5/5. We had a variety and it was all good. We'll go back when in Lexington again. This by-the-way seems a most enticing town.

Stopped in for a quick bite on our trip. Hubby had Chicken Caesar salad. The waitress asked if he wanted the anchovies which was nice, so no waste of food if it's not wanted. I had firecracker shrimp lettuce wraps that I've not seen on a lunch menu. They were filling and really good. I would order those again. Cold beer, comfortable surroundings. Seems to be a local business place and enjoyed the local conversations around us. Friendly wait staff. Very knowledgeable about the on tap beers.

Three friends and I went out for a nice dinner and had a lovely time. It was a beautiful evening and the porch where several people were sitting looked so nice, but I didn't think to ask to change our table to the outside, once we had been seated. (I don't think you can make reservations for the patio) We each had a cocktail (strong, but tasty) and ordered the brie for our appetizer, which was mediocre. Two of us had the shrimp and grits, which were delicious, one of us got the short ribs, which were tasty, and one of us got the tuna nicoise salad. The atmosphere and decor were fun and our server was sweet as she could be. Not the best meal I've ever had, but everything was good, and I'll definitely go back. The only downside was the parking, which was very limited.

Visiting the city for a weekend, we were happy to find Nick Ryan's based on the many positive reviews we'd read. It was even more enjoyable than we'd anticipated. Great bar and a terrific selection of beers on tap. The wine list was well-rounded and being Kentucky, the bourbon selection stellar. From the menu, the short ribs were a standout, as were the shrimp and grits. Great location and ambiance. Terrific and friendly service. Excellent all around.

My dinner experience was wonderful. The service was impeccable. The food was awesome.
There were 3 of us. We had oysters on the half shell, seafood bisque, beet and goat cheese salad, shrimp lettuce wraps, filet mignon and shrimp and grits. Everything was superb and very
reasonably priced. You would think the prices would be so much higher for the quality of food and service received. And don't forget dessert. We had the tiramisu. Outstanding.
