Have breakfast here instead of at the main buliding. It's better, you can have breakfast with jockeys, and the food is good!

“Don't Listen to the Horse-Poo, This is a Lexington Gem”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

I've been eating at the Keeneland Track Kitchen for 10+ years, and the only negative thing about it that I can say is that it has become popular (and you sometimes have to wait in line for food, boo hoo).

It is cafeteria style (you grab a tray, then utensils, and you pick out what you want from behind the glass). This isn't meant to be sophisticated, just good traditional American breakfast fare. The atmosphere has that retro 70s, cafeteria look. But who cares? Hello McFly, It's a cafeteria, and you're there to eat! They do have pictures of pretty horses on the wall, but I'm a poor man from Lexington and don't know much about such things.

It's your choice of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, biscuits and gravy, toast, grits breakfast cereals, coffee. Everything you would expect from an American breakfast diner. Get the "breakfast special." It's relatively cheap, and very filling. The staff has always been very friendly.

If I routinely got up early enough on the weekends, I would pick this place over Ramsey's Diner 9 times out of ten. I absolutely love it. Wish I could eat breakfast here more often. Definitely recommend. A++

Amazing range of food on offer - and you can mingle with the trainers, riders and owners of the horses!

“Food very average and overpriced. Nice setting until the drunk college kids take over the grounds a few hours later.”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

Very average to poor quality food. Cold, stale, a attempt to present it well. Way overpriced. Nice setting. Too much emphasis on moving alot of food out fast rather than quality and nice customer experience. Gone way down hill over the years.

Nothing like starting your day in horse heaven with a great meal. Staff serves quality food with a smile that you will keep all day.
