Description: In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

From the street it looks like a little hole in the wall with outdoor seating. And it sort of is, except it is an excellent place to get the delicious Cajun food you will find in similar locations in New Orleans. They have a wide range of Cajun delicacies, although some are only available occasionally. One reason for this occasion availability is do to the distance from the Gulf and season availability. The food is wonderfully spiced and the also offer a table full of differing hot sauces you can add on your own. The food is a wonderful delight.

I first went here in 2008. On this visit I had a great talk with the owner Kevin. We talked about all the items on the menu and about their philosophy on making this a great place to eat. I always get the jambalaya and crawfish etouffee. The food is delicious! You have a myriad of hot sauces to add as well. Get a $1 ale 8 or a $1 beer to wash it down. Kevin and Will also put up local artwork. I actually bought a piece and it hangs in my house today! I love this place!! Give it a try!

I have been to New Orleans many times and am very happy to have this LOCAL restaurant right here in Lexington serving fine food. Celebrating Fat Tuesday there tonight...non stop food service for hours. It's a big party....

The food is really good here. The atmosphere of the restaurant seems a bit run down, but the prices are quite reasonable. Service is really quick also.

You will never go wrong coming here. Everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned. All kinds of hot sauces are available. Our favorites are jambalaya and shrimp étouffée. My son loves the BBQ. Always crowded but worth the wait.
