Description: In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

Wow!! This place has amazing food!! The restaurant itself isn't very appealing but for a quick bite for lunch or take home dinner it's fantastic. We often get a large variety and bring it home and try all of them. It is the most authentic cajun cuisine we have had after moving back home from Mississippi. I could rate each dish but it would be the same...YUMMY!!!

We went to B&T as a part of a benefit called Empty Bowls, and we got five bowls, so we chose four different entrees. My all-time favorite is the red beans and rice. It's probably the mildest thing on the menu, but it still has a kick. We also had the gumbo(yum!), the chicken with piquant sauce(yum), and the chile (eh). All four dishes were outstanding, and you've got to love the laid back atmosphere. Not only that, but it wasa very generous act to donate all that food th benefit the hungry. The food is always tasty and cheap. A favorite spot for lunch.

My husband and I love this place, and so do our kids. A vibrant but cozy atmosphere, really nice folks working there, and the food is excellent! The gumbo is decadent; a rich, dark roux just bursting with flavor. Another favorite is their crawfish etoufee. And the bread rocks! We've tried many things here and were very pleased with them all. We've tried other cajun food in Lex, but were disappointed. You just can't beat Bn'T.

Overall rating: Decent, but I don't plan on going back.

The menu selection is good and there is a little something for everyone. The restaurant has a good New Orleans vibe. Their location is great, especially for students and people who live near UK's campus. The one thing that disappointed me was the food. I had the shrimp etouffee and, while the flavors were vibrant, they were not as good as I had hoped they would be based on what I'd heard about B'n'T. Definitely not the best Cajun food to be found in Lexington.

Best cajun cuisine in town! Several other restaurants serve similar food but this one is BY FAR the best. So many hot sauces..
